I have to give credit to Bodom Children Of for his original idea and I cant remember where else I saw something close to this.....but I hate the mess of carbon..so I've used this T for 2 years with no problems..parents came never smelled a thing...so it worked, but wanted to upgrade, so this is what I did...
First pic, old unit...second pic, hardware cloth fastend with clamps, wired the cloth together..Third pic, attached to inline fan..Forth pic, Carbon filter material wrapped around the hardware cloth...more clamps...you can use duct tape, I have when I've changed filters, your call...
You can find the filters anywhere HD, Lowes, Ace...works excellent for $30 of so..worth every penny for sure...before I installed it, wife warned me if I smell pot, out they go...she came home, could not smell a thing...they are still here....
Peace,

Just put 2 or 3 laundry sheets (Bounce works great) in front of your fan so its sutioning onto the sheets. It kills the smell remarkably, and you can buy a pack of 200 (200 days if changed daily) for less than $8.

Not sure about this idea, of yours as the object of the fan/scrubber is not only to clean the air in ones cab, but it also exchange the much needed air for a healthy grow..
Thanks, but no thanks...I'll use my scrubber and know my air is clean and with no smell..

Heres a pic of my home made carbon filter. It seems to be working real well.Just has a computer fan mounted inside for circulation.

Killer,
Nice job...cool how nice they work and a simple project at best......I do have to enlarge/drill another hole in my wall as I only have one 4" and I should have a 8"hole..but for now its working great...

Yeah, I hardly ever change the filter wrap, unless I can really smell the smell...LOL..but it works extremely well, with no complaints from the boss...(wife)...
