If you're willing to put up the big dough for a great quality set, get the Bose QuietComforts... theres juist nothing that compares to the range and quality of the sound, even from the QC3 On-Ear set I have. It's mem-foam padded for comfort, and very stylish

I must recommend hd280, by sennheiser, they are about 80 dollars and they block out A LOT of sound, more than any closed studio headphone i've ever used.

just look for some hd280 reviews, most of them will be positive i'm sure, they are a very very popular headphone.

however, they are large, and not really flashy or cool looking, if aesthetics are a concern.

i have bose triports, and i can GUARENTEE you that if you buy them you wont be dissapointed in the LEAST. They have the same technology as in the quiet comforts, but they dont block out as much sound (still block a shitload). Just go to a mac store, they are all on their ipods displays (at least in toronto).

I'm a major audiophile and find that Koss headphones have the best sound.

Sennheiser makes very good phones for under $100. I still have some that are over 20 years old.
