Is anyone here one? I've researched a bit about it but still wonder...how do you find patients to grow for? I think it would be sweet to do this..

Nebraska huh?

Any who, to find a person that is a legal MMJ patient, some of the best ways are go to norml meetings, over at the " Oregon Green Free - Home (http://www.oregongreenfree.com/) " forum is for pretty much ppl with their MMJ Cards and to become a real member you have to show proof that you are a card holder. There are meetings where Card Holders meet up, but I don't know much. I know a few people who have cards, and I could go get one in a jiffy with the servre TCS, and PUVS. Both of which I bet no one here can actually figure out what those are (very rare).

But if you want to grow for someone thats a great gift you could do, and someone would be greatly appreiated.

Haha yeah Nebraska...not much to say about the state. But that's why I'm looking to move here soon. And Oregon rocks, I guess I'll just have to get over not being able to pump my own gas lol. Although if it's me 5.0 I'm watchin whoever's doin it!

But yeah It's something I have always wanted to do but since my state blows...nuff said. But when I move I'll be good to go, thanks for the info. It's just crazy you can actually do that for someone legally, and not have probs with anyone or anything(or so I hope?)
And no I can't say I know what TCS or PUVS are.

Cool thing would be trying to make the pot as potent as possible, and as fat and juicy to impress.

Yes, Oregon has a very good system compared to Cali, that is getting reeemed with DEA raids and other B.S. crap going on.

Even getting herb on the "black market" is always a friendly transaction and seems to be more of a "hang out" then a actual drug deal.

My brother visited Nebraska, and said it was okay. However you will love it here. In Portland(The biggest city) you a Hour and half away from the great beaches, hour from a mountain that is famous for its ski lodges (Timberline, Meadows, Ski Bowl) and a step or a leap from beautiful wild life and forests that can jaw drop anyone.

Its great here, year round if rain doesn't put you in a bad mood, and the people in town (at least the NE Portland area) are very friendly and great. We have a awesome music scene, with plenty of very unique head shops(3 on Hawthorn all within 50yards of each other). Police here are very lenient, and friendly (One time a cop caught me smoking, asked for my license, called me in for any other crimes, found none, and went on his way taking nothing or asking for nothing) This city and town is great. You will love it here.

Cheers.

that is awesome! just what I wanted to hear. Actually end of April I'm renting a car with some friends and we're road trippin over there, those would be crazy miles for my car. Then we can check out what area I want to live in. I guess Beaverton is supposed to be really nice... but without knowing ppl there to confirm it's hard to tell. I only go by what I see online and on tv so thank's for the inside view n' stuff.

But rain doesn't bother me, it's snow that sucks... lol
especially when you have to put a car away :(

I'm a patient and caregiver in Oregon.
Connecting patients and growers is one of our hardest challenges.
There are plenty of patients who need growers, but to become a grower, a patient needs to choose you and include you on their paperwork.
The problem is, most patients want a sample before they commit to a grower. This is our medicine, and we want to be sure you can grow enough, and that it will always be high quality.
Don't let this discourage you though. There's always people to help and a way to make it work, and we really do always need new growers.

You'll need to get a local doctor, but if you can't wait until you find one, there are several very professional clinics in Portland that can help you get legal. All you need are signed chart notes from your current physician, showing that you are being treated for a qualifying condition. These records must be less than 6 months old.
Other than that, you just need Oregon ID, and $100 for DHS.

Don't be discouraged.
We don't pay $500+ per OZ either.
And no DEA raids.
I can get free clones, and sometimes even free meds.
It's going to be difficult no matter where you go. There's still always some kind of regulations or restrictions, and the states don't make it easy, but Oregon is one of the best.
The thing to do is work for full legalization wherever you are.
The dispensaries will come soon.

Right in psteve,How easy would you say it would be to find a caregiver in OR?

Right in psteve,How easy would you say it would be to find a caregiver in OR?Plan A-
Grow your own and BE a caregiver.
Plan B-
If you are proactive about it, it can be easy. Go to meetings and talk to people. Get involved, and growers will find you.
If you wait around for someone to find a grower for you, you'll either wait a long time, and/or get a questionable grower. Unless you're really lucky.
Another option is find a grow buddy (someone you trust), and make them your caregiver. That way you're in it together, and two people can do things one person (especially a patient) can't do.

well I was wondering how hard it would to be a care giver, but after you ask this, I guess it can't be TOO hard. I mean I would want to be a care giver, and i'll be in OR in no time so I'm looking all this up now. Even these boards might help ppl connect.

But I am a bit skeptical about puttin gmy name down as the grower. Somehow someway, it would mess something up somewhere with employers, or that one blue moon raid or something. jail is no place for me.

I'll hafta add the ducks and or beavers to the fan list along with the huskers lol

A lot of people find caregivers or growers through Oregon Green Free, or Oregon NORML.
Both have websites, and meetings where you can meet other patients, caregivers, and growers.
You must already be a registered patient though.

I just moved to Oregon about 6 months ago, and let me tell you...it is the shit. The rain kinda sucks, but if you're like I am...I don't do a whole lot outdoors, so it really doesn't matter that bad. The beaches are great...although you really can't swim in them for fear of freezin your balls off. But they are nice. There are mountains to hike, camping grounds out the waazoo, and all the primo bud you can get.

Since there are no dispenseries, what kinda deals do caregivers and patients work out? Obviously, if they are good friends it's probly something simple, but if i were to go to a meeting and find a caregiver to take care of my medicine instead of growing my own, what is the typical arrangement i can expect?

I think thats completly up to the caregiver. and the range of what it could and couldnt cost is so high that I honestly can't give you even a guestimate.

hI. My wife is a caregiver for 2 cards. You have to pick them well if you dont want people to know your grow site some people smoke a lot of meds per month. There are agreement forms for care givers we dont use them Checked out other caregivers and AMOP criteria for caregivers. We grow a variety.Growing is hard work. What we found was first ounce is free second is 200-250Some people make you wait for the grow sopme dont

I am near beaverton oregon and a new medical patint on a first grow.I do have to say it is very lay back here in oregon and the general attitude from other medical patints is that they are willing to take their time and make sure your first grow goes as smoothly as possible.
