Also in the myth section; Smoking pot is not as bad as smoking cigarettes. I also hate the commercials they have. It really grinds my gears.

Like when the alien comes down and the guy smoking offers to the alien and hes like, "No TY" and its like , "Be ABOVE the INFLUENCE". Like what is that SUPPOST to mean? Aliens don't smoke weed, so neither should you? these commercials are rediculas and are for IDIOTS.

The other one I saw was that one with that girl and she walks in and her DOG, thats right HER DOG, starts talking to her, and its likem "Sarah, I dont like it when you smoke weed", "you just not the same anymore", Like what is that trying to say? IF YOU SMOKE weed you will suddenly learn and be able to speak to dogs, and some how humans know that dogs dislike weed. Its fucking redic and companys that spew garbage should REALLY be held accountable, NO ONE is ever held accountable these days.

Yeah, a lot of information on weed from the internet is just bullshit. When I was younger, my mom showed me a website describing the effects. they said stuff like

"Heavy Marijuana use can induce brief bouts of psychosis in new users"

"Drivers using Marijuana were 4 times more likely to get in an accident than sober drivers. Marijuana causes a decrease in attention span, sleepiness, loss of energy and loss of focus, which all adversely affect a user's ability to drive"

I had smoked for about 6 months by then, so i didn't let the bullshit get to me and Ive been tokin ever since :jointsmile:

I think we should keep these silly ads and counteract them with pro-Marijuana messages like clips from documentaries where people in pain are helped by it. We need Michelle Rainey's Crohn's disease and this lady...oh my god...I watched a documentary of this lady, she had MS, was a widow with 4 young children. She could barely talk without this painful studder...she took 2 hits from a pipe and she could talk clearly...it was amazing and beautiful. I think we should make commercials advocating and put them next to the stupid dog one...

you know i think personally, they are just digging themselves deeper and deeper holes with these outlandish statements they are making. pot doesnt make you lazy. the short term memory loss and decreased attention span is only when your stoned, and fades when you sober up. and most stoners will agree, that when they smoke, they can actually focus better on a boring task... all bullshit. i agree with spellbound, we should start making commercials advocating it. any body have any idea how much it costs to get a commercial on tv?

WHAT IS IT?
The first drug that will be discussed is marijuana. Marijuana contains hundreds of chemicals, which affect the mind and body. Among the chemicals causing the high, THC is the main ingredient. The amount of THC and other chemicals varies greatly in different marijuana plants, and from "joint to joint".

Marijuana purchased on the street may contain other drugs such as PCP or contaminants such as herbicides, bacteria, or fungus, which can be extremely dangerous.



EFFECTS OF MARIJUANA


Low-dosage marijuana use minimally affects motor coordination. Higher dosages reduce the ability to react to unusual or emergency situations.

When alcohol and marijuana are mixed, it is definitely more hazardous than using either substance alone because synergistic results are unpredictable. Marijuana may influence your ability to think or drive for several hours after the "high" feeling has passed - even though you're not aware of it.

has anyone hear ever gotten tainted weed without knowing it? And it has have really had something on it, not that it was just surprisingly strong, or it tasted weird, but something legitimate. this is some of the most straight forward thinking about the effect of MJ though near the bottom
