It's only outlawing the sale of it, not the possession.

it says near the bottom of the first page that there are exceptions, which could mean that stores selling products for the use of tobacco can sell these items, cause otherwise chains such as tobbacco shack wouldnt be able to have a business cause they sell pipes, and that is a large portion of their business.

I live in Kansas and all of the pipes, hookahs and accessories are now banned from being sold even if they are labeled as being for tobacco use. The headshops are liquidating their stock, as the law enforcement here is taking this very seriously. The hookah bars are forced to close down even though they rent them for people to use inside the restaurant w/ flavored tobacco. The legislators claim that this law is to stop the use of meth and crack, yet the local businesses and glassblowers are the ones who will take a huge hit and its not going to do anything to stop meth use (duh). I hate living here more all the time.

Wow. Thank you for highlighting the stupidity of the situation. That is utterly ridiculous! It would be so obvious if someone was using a hookah for any purpose other than tobacco...I mean those things smoke like crazy! And it seems like a ploy from the cigarette industry...I mean your options are becoming so limited, it seems like someone is benefiting from the limitations of your tobacco goods and devices....Hmm.....we need some way to unify...this injustice needs to end...sigh..

There's talk of the ban of paraphenalia in the UK , there would be a lot of unhappy headshop owners if they do..

Oh noes! With a ban on paraphenelia, we'll all have to quit smoking pot!

Sheesh, what do these morons actually think they're accomplishing? I mean other than dismantling part of the business sector utilizing a vast market to contribute to the economy...

It's just like the bit with them taking salvia divinorum and wanting to amend it as a controlled substance...What the fuck for? So an underground market on the streets can be created for these products, rather than a regulated market in which age limits have been imposed on such products; let alone legitimate sales having tax benefits..People are always going to do drugs, because drugs are always going to be here...when you take the legal distribution out of things such as pipes, it merely does what drug prohibition has done in the first place...driven it onto the streets for unregulated and untaxed sales..people in political standpoints just don't get it...I wonder how many years you have to go to college in order to qualify to be a legislator..:wtf: because for some reason I get the feeling I'm much more brighter than some of the people making the decisions of which affect our lives..
