I have both read and heard different opinions on weather to flush before harvest.. Anyway i am about 1 1/2 week away from harvest, so i want to know what everyone thinks about the flush befor harvest..

From what I can gather it is best to start flushing right about where you are, feed only water with a good 10-15% run off every 3-4 days. This is the method I have used for my plants, admittedly I've only done 2 though so I'm no expert at all.
One of my friends told me that she flushes in only 2-3 days and has even done it in 24 hrs before, standing the plant in the bath, filling the pot completely with water and letting it drain through before refilling again. Not sure how this can work though as the point of flushing is to get the chems out of the plant and not the soil, can't see how this gives the plant long enough to absorb the pure water and dilute the chems.

Andie, I think when people do a final flush it is to get the nutes and chems out of the SOIL more than the plant. I believe this is to force the plant to use the rest of the nutes that it already has stored in itself...
Ive heard people say they are better off without a final flush, as it will decrease the final yield of the plant. My plant already doesnt have the best size, so im trying to find out if a flush will take alot away from my yield, IF that is one of the side effects of flushing.

I thought it was to get rid of the taste of any chems in the bud, giving a purer weed taste. We grow and learn though :)

Add mollassas to your water (just a glob) I've heard nothing but good things about it as it makes the buds bigger

I think ya got that backwards. It's not about directly diluting the nutes that are in the palnt. You aren't giving it a blood (water) transfusion. You want to flush the salts and nutes from the soil so the plant uses up her nutes that are stored within the plant. Sorta corrects late-stage ph imbalances, too.

I really don't know if this is true, but could be. If so...is a couple of days growth worth more than a sweeter, smoother product with lower levels of nutrients? I flush a couple/few times during veg and bloom, including a final flush about a week from harvest.

Adding mollassas this late ,will likely do nothing noticeable. I start adding 1/2 of a 'glop' of Grandma's upon entry into the flower room. (microdosing) Be careful, can change the ph balance, and cause nute lock-out if used too liberally.

Rusty Trich, if the mollasses combined w/ my other nutes bring my Ph down to low, which im almost positive it will, I can adjust the Ph after all nutes are in the water correct??

Should be fine adjusting after mixing, but I don't have a ph pen so don't use that method of ph control. I use the color-coded ph test kits which don't work once you add a colored liquid. (nutes)
I also use knowledge of what nute lock-out looks like in my plants, coupled with mag sulphate and flushes when needed.
