my plants have been in veg for about 2 months and are between a foot and some inches to about 3 feet. first do i need to gradually switch to 12/12 or just flip it, second what do i need to do to switch from veg nutes to flowering nutes? i have terra vega for veg and terra cannes for flowering, do i need to gradually introduce the flowering nutes or just mix as directed? i think thats it for now.

When you flip, just flip to 12/12. There are variations on that theme, but for a noob, just flip em. You can dick around with other techniques on subsequent grows. Right now you want to keep things simple so that any problems are easy to fix.

Read the label directions on your nutes. There should be mixing instructions for the transitional phase.

Yeah, what PC said ^^^ and if you have to schedule them to turn on/off on a certain schedule, it's better to give them a bit more dark-time than extending the light period. And follow the instructions for transition nutes like PC says....

I give mine 12-24 hours (or more) dark time before I flip them so that I can get them on MY schedule (7pm-7am for flower, in my case) rather than I have to get on theirs... make sense? If not post questions and I'll come back and confuse the issue even more....

generally, its just a flip. i cant answer the nutes question unfortunately, but i would think that once that plant is obviously beginning to grow pistils, its safe to switch ferts....

ill probably just gradually feed the bloom nutes in just to be safe, i gotta clip some of the lower growth tomorrow before i switch to 12/12. im anxious as hell to have some fresh ass northern lights and ghanni. cant wait. by the way anyone got any seed farms they recommend? i used mari*****seeds.nl last time but their website is kinda shitty and not too many strains, but they did ship to the u.s which mad websites said they wouldn't.

Some growers (I am one of them) believe in feeding the veg ferts for the first two weeks or so of flowering and then switching to flowering ferts.

And I agree with just flipping them to 12/12.

check the seeds and strains section...........there are a ton of threads on which seedbanks work and have credibility and the ones that dont
