not much expierience here either since i just started one of my own, (ic mag has a coco specific forum) most there are purists, lol but i did find some organic, mixed reading. i mixed mine with vermiculite and worm castings, no idea how well it works yet but there is alot of reading you can do there. good luck. let us know how it goes.

I've never tried growing with chocolate before, but I do grow in coco coir. If you try searching this site with the correct spelling, you'll find lots of good coco info.

Well that was a dumb-ass noob move. Everyone knows you're supposed to use Nestle's. :D
I mix perlite in with my coco - about 30%. There's one guy over there at IC that claims to have done comparison grows with varying amounts of perlite and he says straight coco is the best yielding. I'm going to do a side-by-side on my next grow and see which works better.
I just started using CNS17 for nutes on my latest grow. So far, so good but I've got another week or so of veg before I flip them and, of course, I can't make any real judgement until I harvest. CNS17 is soooo darn simple to use. It's a true one-part nute. I may add PK13/14 for a couple weeks during flower, and I'll be using Hygrozyme occasionally to keep the roots healthy, but that's it.
I was using A/N three-part plus CalMag, Liquid Karma and Overdrive and got good results. My only reason for changing to CNS17 was simplicity. (It'll be nice to save a few bucks too, but that didn't really affect my decision. IMHO, compared to the value of a crop, all nutes are pretty cheap.)
Good luck with your grow!

Yea i was going to do something like 30% perlite. Coco is really interesting and i really want to try it. The one thing that is holding me back is the fact that i do not have a pH tester. From what i have gathered, you need to keep the pH a little low (5.5-6.5.) What are your thoughts on this? I have heard of people not having to test pH with centain ferts. Thanks for the help
