how long does the flowering stage take to complete or how long does it take before you start to see buds coming in

It depends on whether you are growing sativa or an indica,an afgahan... The sativa takes around 10 to 12 weeks to finish. Some longer. Indica and aff's tend to finish in a 5-7 week period.
