UV Light

I was thinking about getting this big long 1.2 metre UV bulb in my room just to make it have a mad effect for when i smoke weed it it but then i thought would sitting in a room with a UV light increase the chance of me getting cancer because I remember learning something about that in school?? or is that a totally different kind of light?

I doubt the one one you would probably want to use is going to be strong enough to burn your skin 24 hours a day and give you cancer but just to be safe, what exactly are you thinking about adding? A black light UV, one to clean the germs in your room (ever see those in grocery stores), a tanning bed bulb, which one exactly?????

Blacklight won't hurt you. It's not powerful enough.
It's the sort of UV that is used to sterilize bio-hoods that you really need to worry about, and really, those bulbs are SO FREAKING PRICEY it would be sorta hard to get teh wrong one by mistake! :D

campbell a friend of mine had a massive 2 meter long one in this little single room building in his back garden . it was fucking hilarious when we were all fooked smashed out our nut int here n we turned it on.

The Boston Aquarium has a massive multi-story main tank with a spiral walkway around it. The inside of the tank is lit with Halides but the walkway is lit with blacklight. It's GREAT. I still haven't yet gone there blazed but it's on my MUST DO ASAP list. I've always loved the aquarium, and watching penguins play under blacklight is just COOL.

I used to be into aquariums and had salt water tanks with lots of live coral. That stuff turns inSANE colours under a blacklight.
