I have these 4 bulb fixtures that are 4 feet long flourescent tubes and I am using them for veg but the plants are getting too tall so I need to build some sort of a wooden frame to support the fixture at different heights...
Can anyone share any experience with building a frame or is there any alternatives to hang these BIG fixtures. After all thy are pretty big and weigh about 20 lbs.

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! C'mon, I can't smoke macaroni.
Cheesypeace.
THANKS,

20lbs is quite a bit for a fluoro setup. You can use 2 x 4 s with the main cross beam being vertical rather than the weaker flatter orientation. You can even use pvc if you have to, but I would use electrical metal conduit inside of it to make it stronger. Be safe and hope all works out for you. And yes, you can use fluoros to veg. Many people have done it for veg and flower with good results.

You might consider making a frame out of pvc pipe. You should be able to make a stand for just about any light with pvc pipe.
