I'm going to have to think about this one a little bit before making my predictions.

Whst are the Democratic campaigns doing in Michigan? I think that because of the Democratic party rules, there are actually no Michigan delegates being counted this year in the Democratic primary. Michigan moved it's primary to early for the party rules, so the party is throwing out thier delegates. Does anyone know if Democrats are campaigning there, or are they just skipping it becasue of the delegates not counting?

Don't think so, Know my parents are up and that and they are ready for it. We need a Dem. in the white house for the next 8 to 16 years, just to breal even monetarily for the country

The democrats got stripped of all their delegates. Obama and Edwards are not on the ticket.

The democrats got stripped of all their delegates. Obama and Edwards are not on the ticket.

The national Democratic party voted to strip Michigan of it's delegates as a penalty for scheduling it's primary in mid January. Hillary is the only major candidate who did not remove her name from the ballot --- Obama and Edwards are not on the ballot.

Now I hear that some Michigan Democratic leaders are asking Obama and Edwards supporters to still cast a bollot and vote for "Uncommitted." If enough voters in a district vote for "Uncommitted" then delegates not committed to Hillary might still be able to go to the convention and support Obama or Edwards. If no delegates from Michigan will be seated at the convention, I don't really get how this works, but I guess there is still some question whether Michigan will really be out or not.

Anyway, if I had to rank the Deocratic winners in Michigan right now, I would say:

1) Hillary
2) Uncommitted

That may be the easiest one to call so far!

On the Republican side, I would say Romney has a leg up because he was born there, and his father did well in politics there. And then Huckabee has some advantage in the number of evangelicals, so:

1) Romney
2) Huckabee
3) McCain

We were close.......looks like McCain got the silver this time.

Paul beats Giuliani and Thompson again, won't win but the message might get out if he consistently gets in the top 4 since he has enough money to last. looks like Clinton is the only front runner out of the democrats who still is on the ballot.

i voted for Hillary but i see Romney got it

Uh...you know these two are in different parties, right? I wasn't sure if you were joking or not. Hillary did win for the Dems, although none of the other major Democratic candidates were on the ballot in Michigan. And Romney won for the Republicans.

I'm glad McCain beat Huckabee. Huckabee should be strong in SC, and maybe this will give McCain a bit more momentum going into SC than he would have otherwise.

Ha ha! Good! I thought it had to be, but sometimes you see some bonehead things posted around here. Now we won't have to revoke your voting privileges...
