can you flower a plant right after it germinates and sprouts? my friend thinks he can grow a small plat if he uses this method. i think that the plant will be way too small and even if it does flower he will only get like 3-4 grams of dried bud. and he is only going to use a low wattage cfl. tell me this guy is fooling himself:rastasmoke:
im by no means an expert, but no.

Well, technically, yes- it's a technique used sometimes for very long flowering sativas.
Even then, they don't stay what I'd call small.
Getting into advanced technique, though... not for beginners.

If you are using clones, this method is VERY effective. Try searching sea of green or SoG

Yep- if yer using clones, and can afford the plant count.
But the question was about seed starts.

I am looking for a link, but there is grower in Netherlands that uses a SoG WITH starting seeds.

ahh i love that thread:detective1: no i kno that method would work great with clone! but seeding i think it would be worth it so much more to veg it for a lil. my friend is such a dumbass hes only using a 23 watt cfl to grow this thing.

You might find this to be an interesting thread! - Granny:hippy:

ps. Sentences begin with capital letters! And it's spelled P-L-A-N-T. (Sorry, I work in education.)

Yes it is possible... but impractical. You might as well go buy 2-3 g's as spend 6 or 7 weeks growing a plant that will give you 2-3 g's
I have done it outdoors by germinating seed once we get to 13 hours daylight, so that 2-3 g's estimate is with full sun in the Australian summer.
I'd hazard a guess and say he is dreaming if he thinks he will achieve 3-4 g's off a low watt cfl, from a single plant without a veg period.
But I wouldn't discourage him from trying though, personal experience is the best teacher. He will soon work out what does and doesn't work. :hippy:
edit ~ excellent link Granny
