With a meter....ppm is also called TDS....total dissolved solids

These TDS or PPM meters are just used for hydro setups? and not soil correct?

I know mine are just for hydro. And PPM is a calculation based on what EC reading your PPM meter comes up with. Ebay usually has the best deals, and remember you usually get what you pay for.
