How it works:
The resin glands are heated to a temperature which allows THC to vaporize, yet does not burn the material. The THC vapor is inhaled, and carries no carcinogens, so it is 100% healthy.
In the case of the light bulb, a lighter is held to the bottom making the glass adequately hot to vaporize the weed, but not burn it. You get THC vapor, the carcinogenic material stays behind.

It's not 100% healthy. Anything that's warm is not healthy for the lungs. A vaporizer reduces most of the carcinogens. Yet, it is one of the safest was to consume cannabis, next to eating it.

the hot air might not be good for the scilia in your lungs, but they will recover. The truly dangerous part of smoking, the carcinogenic elements that cause cancer, are not produced because the material is not burned.

However, in some of the vaporizers out there (BC Vaporizer, etc.) there's a serious potential to burn your bud, and that's what you're trying not to do.. So I use my vaporgenie and I can control the temp with my lighter..

But with the vaporgenie, you are inhaling lighter fumes every time you take a hit. Also with the the BC Vaporizer, when it reaches the desired temperature, you may turn it off.

The vaporgenie is an absolutely amazing piece. I have a bit aof asthma, so my lungs are a little more sensitive than others', and smoking a lot of joints or a few bowls can be irritating. Since I started using the vaporgenie, I feel just fine and I get nice and high :)
