just gunna cut the stem? think maby a better idea to top it, also i think if you did cut it there it may be a little small for clones from my expirence cloning (which is EXTREMELY limited) but i only have suscess when it is a larger branch + also remember that when you flower you plant will prob at least double in size

it is about 10 cm of just steam o.O, plus 5cm of the top, it will be 15cm for the clone, i was thinking in that because my plant is going way too fast to the lights, and not too bushy.
by the way, the cut i was thinking is cut the steam, and it will carry everything, the top and the new leaves and everything.
if it will double the size, i better cut right now, i have no chains in my light, i am fixing the altitude with books over the pot you know, sounds "lol" =).

well a double in size maby not bee a 100% correct, it really depainds on strain ww's can easily more that double wile some others maby will add maby 50% of size.
what kind of lights is it under? how old is it? maby its better to fim/top it or maby LST (never lst maby too late for that)

i think thats a great spot to start at....and cutting at that part IS topping. if your looking to get a bushier plant thats a good way to start; and would be a nice healthy clone if everything else goes right.

I suppose you could call that amount of surgery topping as its basically what your doing, but from everything I have read & carried out while topping/FIM'ing really meant to just cut of the new growth FIM being where you only take approx 80% of the growth. In theory what you have done should work in making your plant bushy. However you may just find you have cut off your main cola stem & as yet have not trained any others to take its place, also as you will not get the FIM type new growth you may find none of the existing branches rush up to take on the job of leader which could result in a bush full of branch bud. IMHO I suggest you try some LST training to ensure you develop some leader branches to replace the main stem you just took off.

From the threads you have posted I thought there is a bit of advice I think you may need to consider. From a lot of reading on growing I see there is two main pitfals people oftentrip on "over loving your plant" & "over rushing it to finish". Ive said before you have a plant that could be worthwhile but even up to the last day of curing if you fall foul of the two pitfals I mentioned you can end up with a poor result.

i agree with you also, you can top any new growth.......but i think (my opinion) would be to first top the main stem so two more grow in its place, then you can top that new growth also after letting it heal. im a fan of topping, i like my ladies bushy :giggity:

Bushy is one thing, but its normally carried out in a controlled manner to encourage multiple upright growth resulting in hopefully many mainstems thick in bud. A bushy old leafy plant is about as much use for smoking as hemp toilet paper.
As an example 21 colas from 4 plants using FIM

ojitos - Wrap some duct tape, paper, whatever, around your cup. You don't want light getting to your roots. Did you put drain holes in the cup? You need good drainage. How big is that cfl? You may be a tad close to the light.
