I just saw this program about people who say they have been abducted by aliens. So i started to wonder what all of you think about this subject. Is there inteligent life out there somewhere and do u think they are abducting people for tests or whatever and why. And have you ever had any "encouters" of any kind.Alltho i have never had any experience like this my cousin told me once he and a friend were camping and saw some lights in the sky behaving in a way he couldnt explain and he is a really straight forward kind of guy and THE worst person at lieing i have ever met

The guy on the program said that the people claiming to have been abducted had been through phsycological tests and were found to be of sound mind and were not just making it up, they truely beleive this had happened to them weather it did happen or not and also there are striking simmilarities in all the stories and description's throughout history, from before the little greay man with big eyes was made famous in movies like close encounter ect

Lol! I really do find it interesting though. I mean, im not a UFO freak by any means - it doesnt bother me REALLY, but it IS strange that UFO's are seen all over the world, yet virtually all the cases of abduction are from America...

Well we for sure have the most annoying TV/radio/internet/GPS/whatever signals and waves coming from our country, so maybe that has something to do with it. Hell with it, aliens are probably still picking up broadcasts from Hitler.

Actually, I think the universe is filled with different kinds of alien species, but I tend to doubt that they are here observing us.

Space is so huge that is must be very hard to get around, even for very advanced aliens (our current physics says that is would take thousands of years and huge amounts of energy to get to even the closest stars). And there are so many stars in the galaxy that it seems unlikely they would go through all that effort to come here. And on top of that, the earth is pretty old, so it seems unlkely that if aliens did come to earth, they would just coincidently have picked NOW to do it, as opposed to a thousand years ago, or a million, or a billion.

You can't prove that aliens have not come to earth to observe us, and I kind of hope that they are here, but I think it is not very likely.

Sounds a bit like Mr. Timothy Leary, regardless though, "proof" of aliens existing and visiting the earth has been around for a few milenia now, look around on google a little.

Yeah on the show they were saying that these beings had been recorded throughout history all described very simmilarly. also this program did not just have americans there were people from all around the world,and as for the drug theory there was a case in south africa where a whole school full of children experienced the same thing and i dont think they were tripping at the time and they were awake.

Personally i also find it hard to beleive that super advanced aliens are consuming massive amounts of energy and travelling thousands or millions of lightyears just to study little old us and then put us back again.Also there are people who report repeated abduction's over their life and my question is why dont they set up cameras or something for the next time they come for them even if they stopped working during the event this would be some evidence of something going on. But then again our understanding of physics is not complete and only a couple of hundred years ago we all were sure that the world was flat and the centre of the universe so who knows

Well, that's not right. It's not obvious [although very likely]

It's not been proven, or dis-proven. If some doesnt beleive it, doesnt make them arrogant, or ignorant. Just the same as if someone DOES beleive it, doesnt make them arrogant or ignorant.

But granted, with the universe being never ending, or to put it another way, fucking big, there probably is some form of life out there. Maybe intelligent life, maybe a small space slug.

Lip, be honest, if you were an alien would you abduct anyone from say Glasgow or maybe Aberdeen, LOL it would be the shortest abduction in history they would have them sent back in about 5 minutes.

I once tried to convince the missus I had been abducted but she just said I had got pissed and got lost on the way home, unbeliever that she is.

BASTARDS! The whole idea of a Government is illegal - it's no democracy. It's a softened form of dictatorship. Most people will never realise that. Not realise it and beleive it. But it is. Same in England, same everywhere.

Although Holland seems to have the idea. And im not just talking about cannabis being decriminalised. They're schools are GREAT, the children are taught so well and are so damn smart - teenage pregnancies are nothing like the UK. It really is a great country, and a nice country. I met one of the nicest blokes i ever have in Holland, and he was dutch. He was a marine engineer so we talked in a bar almost all night. Was a great bloke, from a great country. If only other countries could follow suit instead of insulting them and making it look as though the country is out of control and wrong, when people are so happy and everything is so damn good about it.

Our governments dont listen to us, or care. Thats what democracy IS.
