New Year greetings to all our Cannabis.com members. As you're already aware, our site is undergoing some changes. Following is some information about the new direction of our site that we hope youâ??ll find helpful:
The changes you're seeing and will continue to see on the boards are part of a reorganization to take the site more strongly in the direction of a medicinal cannabis forum.
This means there will be less emphasis on strictly social sub-forums, threads, and individual posts and more emphasis on information about medical cannabis. This change in direction will favor information that is more mature and intelligent than some of the threads and themes you may have seen in the past.
The forum deletions, forum moves, thread deletions and/or closures you're seeing are occurring in support of this new board direction. You may also encounter times when the site is unavailable or running slowly as behind-the-scenes technical work is occurring. Thank you for your patience.
These changes are being driven by our owners and so are not open for debate since this is a privately owned site. Our owners and advertisers are working hard to increase the regard in which medical cannabis users and advocates are held, an effort we believe will contribute to the long-overdue more widespread global legalization of medicinal cannabis and help spur changes to federal cannabis laws in the United States.
We know that these changes have been unsettling to some of our members and hope you will stand by as we refocus our emphasis on medicinal cannabis and related information. For those who no longer wish to participate in the new direction of this site, the Web fortunately offers a variety of cannabis-related social networking sites.
You can expect to see a slightly revised Forum Rules page in the near future. In the meantime, thank you for continuing to adhere to our current Cannabis.com Forum Rules (http://http://boards.cannabis.com/misc.php?do=cfrules) and for reporting any problem threads you see.
We thank you for your participation on Cannabis.com and appreciate your patience and continued support as our site moves in this new direction. We wish each of you a happy, healthy new year!
