ur memory will prolly suffer a lil. when i used to smoke every day and i tried to memorize stuff dfor school id usually forget it but its not that big of a deal, if u memorize hard enough ull rember, andddd..if for some reason u dont smoke one night and u try to get to sleep u wont fall asleep till way later, it becomes so hard to sleep, and...hmm..yeh ur lungs will hurt if u run or soemthin like that...anddddd yeh, ull prolly put on a lil weight lol, but other than that, its not that bad...just little things, nothin big

i smoke alot.. not every day because i take 2 or 3 day (sometime 1-2 week) breaks now and then, but i consume about 3/8 oz or so, and my only problem is mood swings, 3 or 4 pounds gained weight, and mornings where i wake up hazy as fuck

so coo.. i've been smoking on and off for 2 years though

I haven't had much lung trouble, and I've been a regular smoker for a long time. I think it's just because I inhale and exhale quickly, rather than hold it in for 30 seconds. It still gets you high, holding it in is kind of useless.

Memory's definitely something that will go. Short-term memory, anyway. It's not as bad as some grizzly old hippies make you think, though. Just that little things will slip your mind--where'd I put my keys, was I supposed to call someone, etc. It's not like you turn into a drooling tard.

I haven't noticed the sleep thing at all, though. Are you on other drugs or medications? If anything, smoking a lot makes me sleep more.

so out of it

I've been smoking about a gram a day for a few months (once a day/multiple times a week for months prior) and my lungs don't give me much trouble, I walk far distances daily and don't really get shortness of breath or anything.
Im lazy, but i've always been that way and I doubt the cannabis makes it much worse.

My memory sure is funny, I can remember things that are important enough to me though it is somewhat hard to remember things that I am told throughout the day. My memories of the past few weeks are vague, I couldn't tell what happened monday from what happened wednesday but if somebody brings something up I may be able to remember it in more detail.
I do not believe in have in any way harmed my brain, my math skills are as good as they've always been, I understand algebra and physics just fine. I was never great at speaking to people but still find writing to be pretty easy. However in verbal communication between peers I find myself often having to say "wait so what the hell have you been telling me about for the past five minutes?"

I am however hundreds of dollars in debt and really need to find a job or some sort of motivation.

worst thing abotu smoking every day in my opinion is the fact that you will build up a tolerance and it will take more to get high and on top of that the high won't be the same as when your first started smoking......i remember after a night of smoking (like 7 grams) i started feeling like i was floating away from my body and i had to keep slapping my upper torso on the bed to stay in it....consequnce was i kept spilling the bowl...lol.....now i don't even really feel high anymore..i just kinda slow down and stare off into space....i miss the old timess....

in january i was tokin about a quarter of KING BUD a week and i was fine, but my connection only sells pills now so i cant get no more weed so ive been dry for awhile and it sucks, to me all i feel is total loss of motivation and temper. when i have weed i feel more relaxed, understanding, and more motivated to do things. it honestly hasnt had any negative effects on me at all

yea? try this on for size i don't have money to buy weed to begin with plus i've lost all connections and can't get anymore cuz i'm not taking the risk of going and asking random ppl....the laws have implicated new tactical plans in my area to try and be rid of drugs....the only time i get weed now is when my brother brings me a few grams which is like every month or so....but those grams are wonderful after nto smoking for a month....

I've actually lost several pounds since I started smoking more frequently.
I find food less appealing unless im stoned and even then I don't get exteremly hungry or anything.

I'm a daily smoker who smokes anywhere from an eighth to a quarter a week. I've been smoking for about two years, and I haven't experienced any serious negative effects from my habit except for those caused by the fact that the government is utterly convinced that this substance is so harmful that not a single citizen should have the choice whether or not to ingest it, unlike tobacco or Drano, and that it is so destructive to society that like enriched uranium nobody can possibly be trusted with it except for government officials (who as we all know are perfectly clean, moral and uncorrupt people).

But I digress. Cannabis has not significantly affected my memory to the point where it causes major problems. Occasionally I'll forget what I was just thinking about but that doesn't really matter as I don't do anything terribly important when I'm that baked. Usually I'll just be playing a game, surfing the Internet, watching TV or something.

My lungs haven't suffered either. Occasionally I'll hack up blackish-brown loogies but I'll just look on the bright side and be happy to have coughed up that crap. I can run and do other physical activities as well as I could before I started smoking.

In all of recorded history there has not been a single documented case of someone dying directly from cannabis use, so I don't worry too much about long-term health effects which I expect to be pretty minor. But even if it did give me cancer somehow, to quote the employees of the tobacco company from South Park during their singing and dancing number:

It makes me feel calmer when the day is at an end,
And if it gives me cancer when I'm eighty I don't care,
Who the hell wants to be ninety anyway?

Short-term memory loss ("I forgot why I came upstairs...") and lack of motivation.
