Hootenanny everyone! It's HOOTENANNY!
What is everyone doing for hogmanay?
On this the last of the year 2007 I went to the dentist and got one my back teeth filled that was bugging me for months, my mouth is still swollen from the injection though, but later when it wears off I am going to have a HOOTENANNY!
What problem of the year 2007 did you sort out at the last minute, or didn't you?
Happy new hootenanny year everyone! (well.. everyone in Australia so far yet anyway...)

Happy New Year to you too.
2007 was the year that I got right with the law and got my driver license back after 21.5 years without it.
Hootenanny huh? I have not heard that word in many years.
It still sounds funny to me but, what ever.
Happy Hootenanny to you too.

We're goin' to a Shindig!
For those too young to remember, there was also a rock music TV show called Shindig in the 1960's. Hootenanny was an earlier show, but the word had been around in folk-music circles for years. Another mucic show was Hullabaloo.
An early Firesign Theater album had a bit with a character named "Dr. Tim" (based on Leary) saying something about having a "Hullabalucination".

Looks like we're goin' to a shindig, too. I'd rather stay home and stay off the roads, but I was just told by two physicians that I needed to get into the spirit and get gussied up and go to this party because it'll do me good. So I'm going along. I'm sure it'll be fun once I get there. Right now, I'd rather take a nap. . . .

I'm not really in the mood for a hootenanny either really, so I am just having a quiet one in the hoose. Might have a wee tootenanny later out the back on my own though, for the bells.

I have developed a stinking cold and feeling shitty but I will be trying to get in the spirit of things, however Mrs NCM has to work tomorrow so we won't be up late.
A good new year to one and all.

Happy New Year BirdGirl and Mr and Mrs NCM! (even though there's still 4 hours and 50 minutes left of 2007, depending on where you live)
