1st time grow Log

Hi Everybody im a long time 420'r and follower and im intrested in growing.
Im going to definatly get some lowrider#2 within 2 days i have money and as i said im defintaly getting it unless there is another strain that has more yeild and a small size and not much smell.
i plan on getting 400w hps
i have a camera so pictures will be coming up soon im just wondering what else will i need.
i have sum pc fans and will be getting a light but what soil will i need and what nutrients and do i keep males/females?
sorry if i sound stupid it is goin to be my first grow

You'll need a 2-400cfm fan to cool your light otherwise you'll cook your plants. From what you're asking it sounds, to some extent, like you're building a stealth setup, for a small space like that you'll cook your babies with a 400w hid without adequate venting.

im planning on growing in my room and i choose lowrider because i read a few logs and they said it didnt smell.
do you think 400 wats is overboard im planning on a pc case but i might use a small wadroobe if i can get bigger results e,g
i dont want to spend like £100 and end up with 2g

im wondering is there a place in london where i can get mylar and ccfl light and soil/nutrients.
because i dont want to get busted because i used a card or something

i have a 400w hps now and im buildin a box from a diy store the only thing left is to get mylar(easy) seeds(easy) and figure out what nutes to use and what soil or peat.
im planning on using two computer fans would these be sutiable?

hi there, u can buy mylar on ebay and get it delivered, dnt worry about getting busted just use a friends card or something anyways mylar isnt just for growing weed.soil? personally i use miracle grow all purpose compost for soil as its suitable for all plants, ive used it for years with good results for little money.! pc fans would probally suffice while the plants are small but would recommend getting like a 10" fan for when they are bigger, also depends on how many u gona have. as for feeds i use miracle grow again the all purpose one as it is like 24% nitrogen and has most of the required general plant nutrients and is cheap. but also added to this i use a little (Canna) rhizotonic which is a very good root stimulant which helps the plants to grow and develop alot faster than without it, that is my vegetive state feed mix but i use a different feed for flowering and for last 2 or 3 weeks before harvest i use canna final phase flush to clean out all the chemicals etc from plants giving them a great smell and flavour and most importantly a good stone lol. u can use lots of different feeds and mixtures many people will recommend other stuff but i find this is a good one that works for me lol.

Thank you for that i have just changed my mind i will be getting northen lights x bigbudd i will hopefully have 4 plants i dont know wether to buy feminised or not
do you know the specific name of the feed? btw

p.s with the compost does it have enough nutes to feed seedlings for to 2 weeks and could i use that bio bloom stuff with it too

hi there, all the nutes i use are miracle grow all purpose or made by the CANNA company. as for seedlings i do use a weak amount of general nute and the std dilution of canna rhizotonic root stimulator. by the way u can use any one u like just dont mix them as u will prolly get a bad reaction. by the way big up for choosing nl big bud thats exactly what i always and am currently growing. follow this link and u can see pics of my setup and plants etc. i just updated more pics today the latest pics are at 6 weeks 1 day.

I have got a wadrobe and im waiting for the nlxbb seeds
i have the lamp and will get the soil and nutes tomorrow
i have a hps light and ballast and im still not sure on getting a envirolight for veg or buy a mh bulb the mh.
i can get the envirolight for £20 in a store and the mh for 15 online but i dont want to buy online so im stuck

make sure your ballast is interchangable (conversion) if you're buying a mh bulb. if it isn't, get cfl's, get an envirolite. not going to be a whole lot
