need advice

this is my first grow and i have set up a grow box in a drawer to the left of my bed. i was wondering since im growing in a very small space (1 ft x 6 in and with 10 in height) how long do i have till my plants get too big for this box? I also was wondering if it is okay to have lights to the side of my plant instead of hanging directly over it? the lights i am using are 2 23 watt cfl and i plan on getting 2 more of the same type of lights. The strains i am growing are 2 cali green plants and 2 stress plants. I also need advice about concealing light since im not informing the other members of the household about this grow.

I am very leary of giving advice knowing you are growing in a place where no one else knows about your grow, very risky situation. I would read up on the laws of your area and not put other peoples lives and property at risk for your grow.

BTW What are your plans when you do outgrow that drawer, because it is going to happen very soon.

Well when i outgrow the drawer i plan to move all the plants to my friends house and combine our grows since he is growing about 30 plants himself. How long do you think i have till then because my plants are already about 2 in tall in 2 days of life?
