my cabinet is getting way too humid, particularly in the 'dark hours, so I ordered this small, cheapo dehumidifier WindChaser Compact Dehumidifier - Wal-Mart (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4532762)
according to the reviews, it works pretty well ... only collects a couple pints, but every little bit helps ... only about 6" square, won't take up too much cabinet space ... anybody have one ??

seems to have gotten good reviews by people who have used it and that's what I always go by.....:) How big is your grow cabinert?

my new cabinet will be about 30" x 48" x 7' ... that unit only extracts about a pint a day, according to its specs ... I'm topping off a couple quarts a day, so I suspect it is too small ... maybe I'll be lucky, and see an improvement ... if not, WalMart's good about allowing returns

Don't dump it....I have 2 of those little whippers myself you could use if you need some....I bet two of them together would do you fine. Let me know if you can use one.
Mine aren't the Walmart ones tho.....but yeah, they pulled about a pint a day as well.

thanks, yup, yours is the same ... I almost cancelled the order, as it seems too small, but I'll try it first, see what happens

I used these after a flood in my apt, no power and reusable. It was under $10 and sold at places like Walmart.
Protect against dampness, mildew, rust, and musty odors in closets and other enclosed areas with the unscented calcium chloride pellets of Dry Out®. Moisture is drawn from the air without the use of an expensive electrical appliance. Use one jar for the average reach-in closet, two or more for larger walk-in closets. Check the jar every two to four weeks and pour off accumulated water as necessary.
