Well, after I broke my foot on my honeymoon in Hawai'i, I started smoking a lot to relieve the pain. (I built up a tolerance to the Vicodin after three days.) My tolerance to weed did increase, but if I just smoked more, it would work.

I smoked beforehand anyway just for recreation. It started to become a habit to smoke constantly all day every day. I have continued that, and lived in a warm haze of weed.

I decided to take a break because I can't afford it right now, and I consider it a luxury. Also I want to decrease my tolerance. I haven't been as productive in the small things of life, not because of laziness, but because when I smoke I care more about the big things. When I am high all the time, I am more likely to get politically active, than take out the trash.

So, I love pot, and I believe it is good, but I think it's always good to have a balance. I have a very obsessive personality, and when I get into something, that is all I do, whether it is work or a hobby.

I know some people take breaks for a couple weeks or so to decrease tolerance.

How often and how much does everyone smoke? I have been smoking about a 1/8 ounce a week which seems like a lot to me. My dealer said he smokes about an ounce a week! One day, he rolled me and my friend a nice blunt for us to share and told us it was his eighth one of the day. He also threw his wallet into a wood chipper for no reason because he was so high. That is too much! Also, I don't think you should be high when you are using dangerous machinery such as wood chippers.

I wish I had a wood chipper..that would be fun to operate stoned..I smoke a few times a day..smoke about the same as you..an 1/8th a week give or take.

haha I do breathe more smoke than air.. I work in a private residence with a bed ridden elderly woman who sleeps 20 hours a day.. I have ALOT of free time.. I have my couple bowls as soon as I roll outta bed, a couple bowls before lunch, couple bowls before dinner and a couple bowls before bed.. i try to stretch an ounce of weed for a
couple of weeks if not more.. then theres all the smoking with friends.. yeah, I smoke alot.. if im at home, I smoke pretty continuously..

HAHA! I used to do the same job as you a couple of years ago..when I first joined this board..very chilled job, lots of naps, lots of toking and lots of posting on this board..he was a cool guy, then he died..that really sucked..plus, the $750 cash I made a week..

oh my god, I know.. see, I do alot of reading and smoking.. I bring a stack of dvds from home with me every week, I have all kinds of shit to occupy my time besides cooking, eating and sleeping.. the money is great.. i get paid alot to do almost nothing.. it rawks.. and yeah, alot of the posting i do on here is at work on my pda well, did.. I work 5 days a week so when I go home, I dont have time to be online.. man, this place used to take up alot of my time.. now its boring.. Ima hafta find a new hobby..

The best part for me was that I was the mon-fri 7am-5pm..I got the best shift..he had 3 caregivers and I was the lead one..

dang.. im here 24/5.. im the main one, and have one person who takes over for the two days im gone.. and another for the one weekend off a month I take.. its awesome that old lady calls everyone hilda.. she doesnt even bother learning anyone elses name.. hahaha

In my user CP I have it so you cant see when I am on the board..totally hijacked this thread..sorry nomad..I am sure he dont mind..I have been taking a break from here for a little bit..but it is still like home to me here..a remodeled home with features that I dont care for, but I can overcome that..this is where my friends are on the net so I have to overcome..good to see you on here though..

8th will last me 3-4 days if smoking by myself. I could make it last longer but it's there to be smoked and enjoyed. If i can afford it then i'll be high.

at least a quarter a week, a gram a day is sufficient if I've been at work. although i much prefer a half a week, which is what I usually get because the majority of the time I will run out before the week is up if I buy just a quarter.

About a year ago an eighth would be able to last me a good two weeks. Nowadays, I go through an eighth in about 10 days.
