Hey all, my cab is 2' x 3' x 6' and is separated into two chambers... one flower one veg. The veg chamber has an array of veg spectrum CFLs (6x27w) and is 26" tall, the flower chamber has a Hydrofarm 400w aircooled HPS setup (reflector w/ glass, ballast etc). The reflector has a 4" hookup, which currently has drier vent hooked up to it going up into my equipment chamber.

I have some activated carbon I bought and can make a filter pretty much any size I want. I want a fan that will cool this setup and be able to (possibly) run through a muffler as well.

I was thinking the dayton 265. Any ideas? This needs to be a well thought out cost effective decision.

Thanks C,
:stoned:

Dayton is considered good, Vortex is best IMO and relatively quiet, CanFan is very good. Compare warranties. 265 cfm sounds good unless you are going through several turns. Always use straight duct (actual ducting) instead of dryer duct whenever possible. It makes a huge difference. If you add a muffler or carbon scrubber increase the CFM. How much? x amount.

i have a 400 hps no air cooled hood, and i am using a 265 cfm fantech fan pulling through a carbon scrubber which is close to the light and temps stay about 78 above the screen. my intake temp is also low. come summer time is gonna suck..
