Man, this is not good. Could this be the end for Goa?

Nice! I love seeing people stand up to their goverment. Especially warning the tourists to leave for the reason that they might get hurt while they fight their government. Just nice.

Goa is a small state in India south of Bombay, it is a former Portugese colony and largely Christian as a result of it. There ani't much of it to call a city, it's mostly beaches, paddy fields, and jungle. It is way too long since I have been there.
It became a hippy drop out paradise in the sixties, and has enjoyed a constant stream of rainbow people ever since. Nowadays it is run by the local mafia/police and is visited by thousands of Isrealis who put on some wicked trance parties.
Om beach to the south has become rather more popular in recent years, owing to the draconian/gangster police operations that have caused many problems. Expect to be hounded by swarms of children trying to sell you jewelery and clothes if you go there, DONOT buy anything from them they will never leave you alone if you give them money.
