I scored some from a good freind of mine the other day and Been taking bowl hits that are harsh as a mofo....I cant even hold it in long.(not that I hold my hits in long.)But the High takes awhile to get into effect.Like a few minutes and it is a good high,I feel like my mind is numb.It also lasts pretty long and so far I havent had the headaches I was having before either.
I got this for about $100 it was a quarter, the pics are missing a few bowls, lol.

Is the ash burning black, or grey/white?
If it's burning black, the plants the bud came from probably weren't given the clean water run in sufficient time before harvest, if at all. This could be what is making it harsh, if it's black ash.
If it's black ash, then a water cure could solve this problem for you. It will take around 3 days of your cannabis matter fully submerged under water, changing the water daily but it is worth it if you can wait and want a smoooth smoke.
