Piss & Hair test help

OK i have a hair test within the next couple of weeks and i absolutely must pass. i have been clean for about 59 days and i shaved my whole body (besides my head) after 15 days clean and now all my hair has grown back. I get a haircut every week and i'm pretty sure it's all new hair that has grown on my head.
My question is that since my hair is 1 inch long, will it be completely clean after 60 days? I know that 1-1/2 inch hair goes back 90 days so i figure every 30 days is a half inch right?... By the way my hair grows extremely fast..
I've used the MAC method about 7 times, washed with PM3 daily the entire time clean and baking soda blow dry and wash weekly, and done some hair straightener. I have Zydot for the day of the test also..
I was a heavy daily smoker for about 5 years and took a random piss test at 34 days clean at my current job, i don't know it if i passed though (haven't heard nothing about it yet)
I'm going for a new job that does a hair and piss test. What are my chances?? All opinions, comments, and advice is appreciated thanx!!!!

Sounds like you have a good chance of passing and have taken steps to insure that you do. However you left out some needed details: height, weight, hair length, hair type, metabolism, etc. FBR and Jerry G have many postings here and on the other side that address hair testing. Do an advanced search in the Drug Test forum using their name and the search term 'hair'.

I am by no means an expert, but have done a lot of reading on this topic as I am coming up on a pre-employment hair test soon. Good luck.

Thanks for the reassurance im really nervous... I am 5'9" 160lbs with a high metabolism i also work out 2-3 times a week. I have black thick hair 1" long and i get a hair cut every week. I just got the call today for my final interview next week and im thinking the drug test is right after it. I am now 65 days clean and by the time of the interview i will be 71 days clean. I know i can pass a UA but the hair test is scaring me. I was just thinking that since i'm over 60days clean 1 inch of my hair has grown out (probably more cuz it grows like crazy). Doesn't that mean all the dirty hair has grown out and been cut off?? and my body hair has been shaved and grown back.. (And my hair stylist said bleaching and dying back is out of the question cuz she can't get it back to my original color and my hair is fried and it might fall out.. ) Anything else i can do or am i good???
This job is very important it pays 20hr with full benefits for me and my child so i absolutely must get it..

Congratulations, you have done your research and you are almost there to passing this crap. You're right, head hair grows about .53 inches per month and body hair, depending where, is almost this rate. But I'm guessing that if your hair at 71 days clean is a little longer than an inch you have a little bit of dirty hair on your head on the very ends, not much though. That's because there is "lag time" because your body will still deposit metabolites for 2-3 days after you stop smoking plus it has to grow out far enough from under the skin. So this usually adds up to about 10 days after you stop but I like to be a little more conservative and say 15. So actually you did well by waiting 15 days to cut your body hair. So is this little bit of hair going to be enough to cause you to fail? I don't know because you said you are a heavy smoker. I wouldn't cut my hair less than about 3/4 inch but that would probably get the last little bit. If you don't want to cut it again you have have already hit your head with a lot of treatment and you still have the Zydot so it seems that you stand an excellent chance of passing based on the clean time and what you have done to clean that last little bit.

Thanks FBR!! i read alot of your posts and they have been very helpful since day 1 and hearing this come from you takes alot off my mind.. i plan to do another MAC tomorrow, with a hair cut to 3/4 inch this weekend, and another MAC the day of my interview just to be sure. But i just wanna say thanx and this is a GREAT website for people looking for help.. i don't know what i would have done without it!!!
