I just moved to New Zealand and its Christmas eve today (we're a day ahead). All my family is back in the U.S. all my amigos are just doing personal family stuff, and its fucking hot, ive been sweating on my porch all afternoon smoking a bowl and thinking about how nonchristmasy I feel. Any advice for what I should do for christmas day while everyone else is with family?

first, smoke a bowl. I'l wait...... now, dress up as santa and climb down your chimney. then once you get stuck call 911. it will take them about an hour to get there but you can talk to the skeletons in your chimney while you wait. The dust will start to clog your nose and blind your eyes but it's ok, your santa claus. you have a beard, and rosy cheeks that radiate red and white bands of christmas joy that only the children and the skeletons in your chimney can understand.
After the red and blue get you down, and you sit in your living room rubbing your feet on your carpet with a cup of swiss miss and a scratched Manahiem steamroller cd skipping in your sd player, you'll look at the place where your tree would have been and say "When I was 14 years old we used to have a beautiful tree which is more than Jesus ever did."

Yup, keep smoking! Keep your eye on the sky and remember that we're on the same planet.
My stash is nearly gone, so Christmas may be horrid, this year.

I think anything you end up doing is good just because it would be different from a christmas you're used to. i don't know how traditions became so significant that a day like christmas is a failure without them. traditions blur memory; what's going to stick out in your mind if it's always the same thing? I say be yourself on xmas and cultivate a charitable or christmasey attitude the rest of the year. I don't know why we're supposed to feel a certain way at a certain time of year, and a better inquiry might be 'how does one make every day of the week as exciting and relishable as a holiday?'

well nearly every year our christmas ends with drunken arguements, so get drunk and find someone to argue with then you'll be filled with christmas joy
You know what you need to do, fella. You need to pick up the weed, and smoke it! :D
Happy Jesus day to all! ha ha haha.

get a fan, roll up a fat xmas joint/blunt/both, grab a cold ass beer, and just relax. Think about how nice it will be to see everyone again, and just wait for that.
