the show really should be called "man eats wild" though.

theres a show with les in it called "off the grid". basically he's raising his family without any sort of power or water hook ups. its all solar whatnot.

I respect the fact that in some situations unless it were actualyl happening you wouldnt wanna recreate it in a dangerous fashion, but give an individual the best idea of what to do when in that situation the safest way you can. The way I see it, they both offer alot of value and are very informative. I prefer Bear though, he has alot of realyl impressive records he has set and still holds. Plus the British SAS thing is definitely on his side.

Les Shroud instructs people on how to survive in extreme situations and locales. He sets up all the cameras himself, it is him and nobody else for 7 days. We all know how fake Gryllz is.. I dont see him as much an instructor, but more of a sideshow. Like "watch me show off and do some smart and some very NOT smart things in a fictional survival scenario. But 'shh'.. dont tell anybody its fake.

I like Les because watching his show is basically the ideal "Survival 101." Its textbook application of the best and most proven survival methods. If you want to learn how to actually survive the scenario, then I would go with Les. If I wanna watch somebody act retarded and encourage people to kill themselves... then.. go bear!
