Are Black Lights Good For Weed Plants? And Would This Black Light Be Good For Growing A Weed Plant?

i doubt any blacklight would be good. you need lights that are in the bluer spectrum for veg, and in the redder spectrum for flower.

till flower, you can have your light on for a full 24 hour, then the flower, you want it completely dark so that no light gets in.just read through the FAQ secontion and it should tell you all about the lighting.

A black light is totally useless for growing anything, including pot. Hang it on your wall and turn it on while you're smoking. Nothing else. During your dark period you want it to be TOTALLY dark. Even just a little light leak will cause the plant to hermie and take forever to finish flowering.

there is some myth regarding uv wavelengths being beneficial to plants. the truth is that if you buy a really expensive negative ion generator (not the cheap ozone generators that claim to generate negative ions), at its core will be a special UV lamp. a blacklight wont work. especially an incandescent one. it just gives off colored light. dude, seriously... if your going to ruin your crop, I'm going to tell your dad.

ive tried growing other plants under it just for kicks... nothing its horrible.
