I figured I'd post this for Flameon since we got kind of off topic in another thread.

I don't know how much truth there is here because there is no mention of Joan Collins who is definately signed on to play The Rani in the new season.

Doctor Who Series 2008 - Season 4

40S. Time Crash. A Children in Need Special starring Peter Davison as the 5th Doctor and David Tennant as the 10th Doctor.
161107 Approx. 15 minutes
Special by Steven Moffat
Two Tardises crash in the vortex and the 10th Doctor finds himself face to face with the 5th Doctor when he goes to get the driver's license for the time insurance company.

40X. Voyage of the Damned
192. 251207 - 40X 1h Christmas Special by Russell T Davies
The Titanic crashes into the TARDIS just as it is dematerialising. The Doctor finds that time is being manipulated by some spikey aliens called Porgs and he gets the help of a young waitress named Astrid Perth aboard the Titanic. It is about to leave on its maiden voyage so the adventure will probably continue until the ship strikes the iceberg. Hmm. Does this mean that the iceberg was really a space ship or that the invasion of these aliens actually caused the ship to crash? Astrid reveals her true nature at the end of the episode by vwoorping off into space. (Have you worked out the anagram of Astrid yet?)
[Stars Hugh Grant as a Villain and Kylie Minogue as the Doctor's companion. Kylie Minogue is currently in Cardiff. Filming began in June 2007.]

401. Fires of Vulcan II
193. 220308 by Russell T Davies
Donna Noble encounters an alien emergency in London and there's only one person she knows of that can help her. But what has ancient Rome got to do with anything? A quick trip to Pompei when Mount Vesuvius is about to explode. Can they save all the people?

402. Mind War
194.290308
Donna and The Doctor visit Agatha Christie, played by Fenella Woolgar, and together they investigate a strange murder.

403. Planet of the Ood (Title in a news report)
195. 050408
A trip to the far future. The Doctor remembers his eighth incarnation and knows that a storm is coming. Something he'd forgotten. Something to do with Davros. Something buried in the bowels of the Ship, Chesterfield. Donna has to deal with some Ood.

404. A Deadly Past
405. Axonite (Part 2)
196. 120408
190408 By Terrance Dicks
Something has taken control of the TARDIS. Something that has been trapped in a timeloop in geostationery orbit above Britain for 30 years. The Axons are back!

406. Sapphire Avenged
197. 260408
Joanna Lumley takes on the role of the Master, while John Simms reprises his role as the Master's spirit. The Doctor and Donna track the Master down in the year 100 trillion.

407. Shock of the Sontarans
198. 030508
A strange signal is being received from Mars and a retired Brigadier is asked to help decipher it. He calls on the Doctor for the first official meeting of Earth and the Ice Warriors. But there's another race with time travel capability that doesn't want this to happen. Maybe Martha Jones can help?

408. Eternal Triangle
409. Destruction of the Daleks
199 100508
170508
Time continues to change. The rupture caused by the Axon, Ice Warriors and Sontarans is starting to pull the Doctor back into the Time War. He knows he destroyed Davros but now he's back (Played by Ben Kingsley!) And what do the Eternals have to do with things?
More flashback scenes of the 8th Doctor during the timewar, including the moment when Davros kills him. Martha and Donna get on really well in this story!

410. Time War Part 1
411. Time War Part 2
412. Time War Part 3
413. Time War Part 4
200. 240508
310508
070608
140608
It is confirmed that this final story will feature Rose, Mickey, Pete, Jackie, Sarah Jane, Captain Jack, Martha Jones and K9 as well as Donna and the Doctor. It'll also feature Davros though whether he'll be played by Ben Kingsley, Patrick Stewart or Terry Molloy is currently unknown. It is likely to feature Sontarans and Daleks in a war as well as other aliens in a final gobsmacking battle.

This would also be story number 200 and worth a celebration in itself.

40X2. The 4 Doctors
201 231108 By Terrance Dicks
Rumoured that an extra special story will be written for the 45th anniversary to be broadcast on the 23rd November 2008 starring Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann, Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant with special appearances by other guest actors.

I think the list might be a wind up/ BBC has an announcement about Georgia Moffet being signed up today. The ep is called The Sontaran Strategem.

The quote goes "Georgia originally auditioned for a role in Gareth Roberts' Agatha Christie episode, but so impressed the production team that she was offered a much more exciting part in another episode, currently filming in Cardiff."

I'm hoping for Romana. But perhaps she's going to be the regenerated Rani. Like John Simm and Dereck Jackobi did the Master.

Yeah Joanna Lumley as the master...cool. She was the 13th Doctor in Curse of the Fatal Death. The aAster with a bottle of vodka in one hand, laser screwdriver in the other and cigerette pressed between her lips teetering back and forth.

I'm pissed though...Billie Piper is getting married tomorrow and it's not to me.

Tom Baker was my fav because that's what I remember from my childhood. The creepy melty tunnel intro and Sarah Jane and Harry. Plus he was completely insane.

Patrick Troughten was awesome too, but I only just started watching his adventures.

David Tennant says Peter Davison was his favorite but I see a lot of Tom Baker in his character as well.

I think all in all I like David Tennant the best with Tom Baker a very close second. The stories have been awesome and I like the way he slips little nods to the other Doctors in here and there.

As far as I'm concerned only Colin Baker sucked. I don't think he was funny at all and wya too snobby. He did an episode with Tom Baker and he was a jerk and I guess that stuck with me.

Was there a Dr Who in there somewhere by the name of Pertwee or something along that line?

You are right about Tom Baker being the Dr Who of my childhood.....plus he just had some great sidekicks, including Sarah Jane but also a few others I cannot remember any names right now.....stone and too old now. :stoned: That IS probably why I like him as Dr. Who best.

He was the one before Tom Baker. I liked him too except for the totally 70's way they made him a martial arts expert.

Hi Doctor

Fantastic info, great job!

I would so love to write for this show.
Bizarre coincidence, but I discussed some potential storyline ideas with a writer friend of mine last year, and one of them was based around engineering a meeting with Agatha Christie!!

I think I'll have to start stalking Russel T Davies as we're clearly thinking along the same lines lol!

Only one more sleep till the Doctor's back (I've prescribed my own medication in the meantime however ;)).

I don't think they make Doctor Who eccentric enough these days. David Tenant is alright, better than Charlie Eccles. Tom Baker is my favourite though. I think the next Doctor should be played by Jo Brand. BTW what does your name mean Doctor Whoov, the "ov" at the end, what's it for?

My last name is Hoover. Being a doctor Who fan it just kind of followed. It's sad but I didn't figure it out intil about a year ago and I've been a fan since like 77.

You're absolutely right, Dr. Who really should be more eccentric. Tennant is okay, but he doesn't seem to fit as well as dear Tom. The only one I didn't like was Sylvester McCoy, he seemed much too serious. Christopher Eccleston seemed too much like The Joker to me.

Fave Doctors in order (it is kinda based on how well the doctor captures my imagination)

1. Tom Baker - would be great if he came back as the master
2. David Tenant
3. Jon Pertwee
4. Sylvester McCoy
5. Patrick Trougton
6. Peter Davidson (the stories weren't always good but he always gave it his best)
7. William Hartnell
8. Christopher Eccleston
9. Paul McGann
10. Colin Baker - some say he is the most under-rated doctor, I dont know why though I just find him painful to watch.

...or as the Doctor. Get Davison, McCoy, McGann and Eccelston in there too. I guess we can let Colin Baker in there too for posterity. You could get impersonators to do Pertwee, Troughton and Hartnell too. Do "The 10 Doctors" How cool would that be. They could make it a whole season. I think I want to writhe for them too.

The Ten Doctors...that would be mad. Wait another few years and they might be able to do Pertwee, Troughton and Hartnell with CGI. Can just imagine the 1st doctor trying to figure out Captain Jack.

Hello to all. Sorry I've been away for so long. My new job is being a Help Desk Technician so when I get home the last thing I want to do is get on the computer.
Well it's 7 months later. The original rumored list proved to be about half right. The season was awesome. I won't mention anything about it as to not spoil it for my fellow Yanks who are stuck watching it on SciFi. (Learn to torrent)
4 specials next year adn no real 5th season until 2010. This sucks. I might as well sell my TV.

I want to raise a question to the other Who fans though. If you don't want the finally spoiled stop reading now. Otherwise, scroll down.
Oh yeah, the CGI thing for Pertwee, Troughton and Hartnell is probably already possible. Have you seen those commercials with the terminator selling Netfilx or whatever. I think they did one for Misery and Die Hard too. Makes you wonder what they can change on the news.

OK so The Doctor regenerates back in to himself. does that make Tennant both the tenth and eleventh Doctors. Dumb ass Russel T Davis wastes a regeneration. Only a chance for 2 more unless the RETCON the series.
