View Full Version : The more I read, the more confused I get - Quest Pre-employ test

I have a pre-employment screen with Quest sometime late in January...I've been lurking for the past week eating lots of applesauce, fruit, etc....all the fat burning stuff and reading tons of posts on this forum. This is a standard job screen...not military of govt so I'm praying it will not be observed.

I'm 5'7", 155 lbs and I'm hoping my high metabolism combined with the time I have (4-5 full weeks) available and a fat burning diet and exercise will allow me to test without using the sub or dilution method. I *was* a pretty chronic smoker...multiple times per day. But not the chronic..untill recently...well...it is harvest time ya know!!

I purchased a Urinator to be extra safe but with everthing I've read, I'm still freakin' out. Could the experts clear up a few things for me?:

1) I've read on these forms about metal detectors and wands being used...The urinator has a metal element that monitors the temp. Do you think that small metal tube is enought to throw off a metal detector? Probably right? Has anyone ever been to a Quest location where they use a wand or metal detector?

2) I keep reading conflicting information about synthetic vs. real urine. I got the Dr. John's stuff that came w/ the urinator but I have the option of using my wife's clean urine also. Any thoughts as to which method I should use? Are they testing for synthetic urine these days? I've read they don't check for lgG or whatever that human element of urine is but I'm not sure. Should I use the pre-tested, powdered urine to be absolutely sure?

3) How do you all wear the urinator? I'm not a big guy...I'm worried that even if I tape everything to my leg that I may still have a buldge.

Thanks to anyone who takes the time to read my rambling...I've never been so paranoid in my life. I'm guessing my increased heart rate for the past 4 days counts as a workout!! :)

1: Never heard of anyone having a metal detector used on them for a drug screen.
2:Pretty much all synthetic urine is safe to use.I like the liquid better than powder because you don't have to mix it up.
3:Can't answer have never had to use one. The only ones that need the whizzinator are people under court supervision for drug screens. Otherwise they are never observed during the UA.

You maybe clean in the time you have. I would pickup some cheap test strips from fleabay and test yourself a few days before your test. If your not clean go with the synthetic.
If you do get clean naturally still folow the dillution sticky. Its always better to be safe than sorry.

You may also want to order some test strips online on EBAY REAL CHEAP!!!! Test yourself once every few days with your FIRST urine of the day, which is the dirtiest. When you can past that you are clean for a test.

Thanks...I will do that. Funny, so much info says..."avoid your first piss of the morning". But for the purposes of determining if you're clean...makes perfect sense.

I just want this all to be done...This merlot I'm drinking can't hold a candle to a nice nug. :)

An added note....if you are doing a lot of exercises to burn body fat (where THC metabolics are stored) you can expect dirty strips...until you are completely NATURALLY clear. Otherwise, the closer you get to test day, the cleaner you will be. Then a light dilution could be in order and is easy as can be to do.

Good to know! Thanks. Any particular brand of test strip I should use? There are no less than 10 different types on ebay and I'd rather spend a little more for something that is going to be accurate.

If pot is the only drug you take then all you will need is the THC panel test strips. Otherwise, think of your other "pleasures" and get the test strips as you need. I've ordered a few times off EBAY and each time the test strip was generally the same dip style.

The thc test strips are pretty much all the same. I've been getting mine from newdayenterprises on fleabay. They ship real fast. I think about a $1.26 ea. with shipping.

Thanks for the continued reply's. I ran two miles today. I smoke butts...nuff said! Holy crap my legs are killing me right now. I'm concentrating on the fact that exercise can substantially increase your metabolism. I'm concentrating on the fact that a high fiber, high fruit diet can increase your fat burning abilities....I'm concentrating.
