Ever been so high that you look at your dog and you can like read his mind?

I swear I looked at my dog today and we made eye contact. I didn't want her in my room because I was stoned. I swear when I told her to get out she just looed at me and with her dog brain sent a message to my brain and said, "I just wanted to tell you I love you." Fucking wow man. For a minute I was like, fuck that talking dog on that weed commercial, this rocks!

Heh.

Animals are more aware of the world than we give them credit for. They have a great sense of short-term memory. Imagine how they perceive the slow, long-term thought of humans.

LOL.. yeah i think were more intune with everything.
id say our mind reading abilities are amplified after we smoke.

Since she cant speak english, i BET that is what she was saying to you.

I've had this very experience several times (both with my cats and dogs).

There has to be some sort of connection between our minds and that of animals, especially under the influence of something as beautiful as cannabis.

After you smoke (make sure you're realllly blazed) sit down with an animal and just look at it. It's better if it's just you and it--no other distractions. You'll experience some very strange feelings. Staring into the eyes of something that is so different than us, though so very similar. A living, breathing creature. It's kind of crazy to think about.

When I got the phone call that my mom had died (4 years ago) I got drunk and fell into a ball crying myself hysterical in my living room, I never closed the living room door. My two dogs dug a hole UNDER the fence to come into the house and be bye my side. They never barked, never played, they just lay there next to me as I wept. They never dug a hole before that or excaped from the back yard.

I was never a dog lover before that. We had them for a year and I never paid attention to them other then when they needed to go to the vet. From that time on, they became MY DOGS. They are like my kids.

Their smell, sight, taste, and hearing are so extremely sensitive. I wonder what else they are aware of.

You know how dogs and cats behave in strange ways when there are earthquakes, storms, etc. Imagine what we could learn about what they think.

I had a pet rat who I gave the run of the place. He never chewed any of my stuff either.

He was really sweet, and would try to comfort me when I was down.

Once, the birds and squirrels were making their alarm sound when they see a predatory bird, and he dove under a dresser for cover. Then got out, running up to me, motioning me with his head, then running back.

I think in his mind, he was telling me, "What are you doing, there's danger, get under cover."

Risking his own life for me.

Let this serve as a reminder, please, that discussion here needs to be limited to cannabis. I did some deleting of threads mentioning other psychotropics.

Hmm, so they can probably smell pheromones we humans can't even pick up on, same with sounds and tastes..

You know how dogs always swallow their food very quickly without seeming to have even time to enjoy the taste... Well maybe it's because they taste it 10x (not scientifically proven number) times more. They just got to get it in there as fast as possible or else the taste gets unbearably tasty. hahah

dude i may sound crazy but i no im fucked up and i seriously and honestly think that i communicate with my dog who is a pug named "coco" its awesome. it may be because she senses a connection between me and other animals because i ran my other pug "lola" over last year and she died in my arms on the way to the hospital...it was fucked up dude i cried

Yes I often feel that I can communicate with animals quite successfully, and I most definitely feel this more so when high. If the animal is high as well, this feeling is exponentially increased.

Man I'd wanna be around dogs if I was high, they are so cool, wish I could get one but my flat won't allow it + lack of funds, one of these days...

Sometimes though it seems like you can tell what they're thinking cos of expression/behaviour and then guessin, but I've never read it's mind lol, maybe you have some v. v. good weed :rastasmoke:

I had a very similar experience with my Australian Shepard the other day. I was stoned out on my deck, and I glanced down at my dog. I swear, she looked me so deeply in the eyes that I instantly thought, "Dogs are capable of so much more than we give them credit for." There was something incredibly human about the way she looked at me, and because of it, I now look at animals in a different way.
