I love documentaries but it's always hard to find them because they arn't publicized very much

Here are a few i've watched recently that I really liked,

Manufactured Landscapes- Best one, it's about man-made landscapes

Black Gold- on the coffee trade

Jesus Camp- on Evangelical extremists

Outfoxed- on Fox News

Have any to share?

I like:

"No Direction Home - Bob Dylan" - by Martin Scorsese
"Hoop Dreams" (one of my all-time favorite movies"
"Bittersweet Motel"
"Rebel Music: The Bob Marley story"
"Winged Migration"
"Planet Earth"

Lots more that I can't think of right now...

I'm not sure if this counts, but 'Cry Freedom', the Steve Biko story, is one of my all time favorite movies.
And the IMAX movie about the exploration of the Grand Canyon was pretty specatcular.

anything to do with nazi's, hitler or the third reich....

it's fascinating to me looking back at all of hilter's dreams and plans for the world... i think few actually realize just how much diffrent the world would be now if hitler had won the war.... i mean you hear his name and you think destruction pretty much instantly... but for every bit of his destruction there was like 3x as much planned building...

his whole idea was size... he wanted the biggest massive structures.. but he also based his designs on much much older structures.... such as the pantheon.... but his dome was to be much much larger.... the building was so massive it'd actually have clouds and rainfall inside it.... all the hot breath from so many people enclosed would rise and eventually come back down in the form of rain....

Zeitgeist
By far the most enlightening doc I've ever seen. Exposes all the truths of the most important aspects of the past, present, and future. It's readily available on the internet, just google it. I suggest everyone see this movie.

I liked Life and Debt. It looked into the impact of globalization on Jamaica. Pretty interesting. And you can't go wrong with Hoop Dreams. I liked Sicko. Grizzly Man was another interesting one :rastabanna:

Dogtown and Z-Boys
The story of the rise of skateboarding. I don't even like skateboarding, but I remember when it exploded in popularity in the 70s. Great soundtrack. Definitely a documentary for stoners.
