quick question

Hi i live in michigan
i plan to grow outside
I want to start on april 20 but there is still a chance of frost
is there anything i can put over my plants to guard them from frost but will still let the plants grow

i want to get them going inside but i live with my parents
is there any stealthy ways to start the plants inside without my parents knowing like in a cardboard box or somthing in the basement

you could make a small green house where you plan on growing, but that wouldnt be very stealthy. and i dont recommend growing with out the rents knowledge...i would start after your last frost. But you can prepare and amend your soil now.
