Can't say I am blown away by this new song, it's the least I expected form them. I hope the album has better tracks, and is a slight improvement on the last album No Wow. If it's got at least three great tracks like the last album then I'll be happy. Looking forward to seeing them tour again, they are way more a live act than a studio band.

The Kills have put up a vocals only version of their new single URA Fever on their site, and they are asking people to download it and send back remixes of it. I might have stab at this if i can get to grips with this Garageband software. KNowing me though I'll probably never get round to it.

The Kills plot North American spring tour | News | NME.COM (http://www.nme.com/news/the-kills/34012)
Damn, I was really looking hoping to seeing them in Europe this spring :(
If you happen to be living in America though, do check them out, they are a very energetic live band whorth watching, they come across much better live than in the studio.

I like this song better than URA Fever.

I wasn't going to get the new album, I listened to it on their web site
The Kills - Midnight Boom (http://www.midnightboom.com)
and I didn't really take to it at first.
However it grew on me and I eventually downloaded it, I think it is better than their second album, they have adopted a slightly different style, whilst retaining their old signature. Last Day of Magic, Black Baloon and How New York Used to Be are really great tracks.
Looking forward to seeing them at the Melkweg next saturday as well, my third Kills gig, This guy has a really unique guitar sound, it sorta ties in with their "suicidal" "killing" theme, it sounds a lot like knives scraping together, erm... you know like Freddy Kruger or something. Don't know what he uses to get that sound, maybe he uses a metal plectrum or something...
They have a lot of energy live, I recommend anyone to catch them on their latest tour if you can.
