Getting high off fumes?

Hey all. I've started growing 10 White Skunk plants and they are now 3 weeks into vegetative growth.....its going fine but the only problem is that it absolutely reeks! I was wondering is it possible to get high of the smell?Thanks in advance :thumbsup:

Yes, it's possible, but be careful. It is very easy to over dose.

Now wait a minute. You're saying that you can get high off of just the smell of your plants? I've had some really stankin plants and I've yet to get high just by walking in the grow room. Of course, to be fair, I am usually already high before I go in but to my knowledge the smell will NOT get you high. Please correct me on this if I'm wrong but I've never heard this before.

Just so you guys know this is my first grow. I'm not like some professional. I've also been smoking for seven years. Thanks for the responses anyway. The fact of the matter is that I have two little brothers and a little sister, if they somehow got into my growroom I just want to know that nothing would happen. I am taking precautions anyway but it is still handy to know.

Getting high and overdosing are 2 different things.

And yes my mom does know about my grow-op. She lent me the money for the lights and my nan gave me pots and soil.

Sounds like a cool mum & nan. I have never heard of any effects from smelling the weed, but again cool for thinking abot the precaution. It would probably be best if your brother & sister never found out depending on age etc as its a lot of responsibility to ask them not to talk about it. If they were to get in the position of getting hold of some & ate it that might have some effects also I get like a nettle rash on my arms if brushed by resin while working on them.

I am definitely gonna make sure they dont go anywhere near the grow room and I just bought a good lock off ebay so there should be no problem. The thing that got me was the fact that my grow room is next to their room and I just wanted to make sure that when I opened the door no THC or anything could seep out but you helped me answer my question!

I recently went to the High Times Cannabis Cup with the explicit intention of getting some Jack Herer & maybe spending the £98 / $200 to buy the seeds.

Walked all the way to the Sensi Coffeeshop that was included on the map only to find out the never had any & only had an entry as a seed company. Then spoke to Sensi at the expo who explianed they had given there whole supply of JH to the High Times Staff & they passed it on to the celebrities. Five minute rant later told them where to stick it & not to expect me to buy seeds I couldn't get a taste of.

To the celeb a$$ kissing scum sucking management at High Times all I could say was :gunfighter2::S4::chainsaw:

But not like it affected me in any way ;). I did however make friends with a coffeeshop manageress who is going to see if she can get me some of there JH seeds.

Totally agreed reaper for me it was a bit of a trip down memory lane as I read High Times in 85 when I lived in connecticut. In short I doubt HT could schedule their own bowel movement to happen on time. But still had a good time in Amsterdam & the piece of hash from the Canadian guy at Delta 9 along with the determination of Treating Yourself magazine at sticking a copy of issue 9 in my hands was defnitley 2 highlights of the Expo. Didn't really know what the mag was about every time I saw their booth it seemed surrounded by folk asking for freebie bong hits. They must have figured I look liked I needed a copy of their magazine when I got home I read it though sheeesh excellent as I have neuro problems it covers topics relevant to me if from another country.

The judging at the pass level seems a popularity contest same as are most elections & at every other level it seems its just a chance for the HT inner circle to collect a few more pot celeb names to drop throughout the year in their mag.

Had a thought earlier as I noticed your in England. In case you haven't already thought about it it might be worht depending your age exactly & whether you work or at school getting your mum to draw up some kind of parental agreement kind of thing where you say your paying digs & it lists specific rooms which you therefore have sole entitlement to use & also add locks if necessary. Not saying it would work but perhaps if it did come on top it would be somehting to help you claim a case that you were the only one with knowledge of the grow. Again it may seem overkill but often its best to plan the eventualities.

It would be really bad if you could get high off smelling plants, that would mean that they were putting thc into the air, in which case the bud wouldnt get you high. Better safe than sorry as the saying goes.
