So I got my basement closet all set and ready. All I need are some seeds right. Well, luckily my brother came into town with two tiny seedlings that he was able to germinate out of a bag of some unusualy dank nugs. I'm really excited that I can put the growroom though a bit of a test run while I order and wait for some real seeds. I wish I could just sit and watch them grow. Anyway...
Right now I got 6 23w cfl daylights.
I hope to get them under a 400 Hps after they grow up a bit and I get some more scrill.
I'm also using some FF potting soil. I've heard nothing but good things about it.
Once the battery charges on the camera ill post pictures.

If you have a couple of seedlings from some exceptionally good bud, it can be just as good as what you could grow from seeds from a seed bank. It could even be an exceptionally good strain. It isn't the name of the strain you're growing that matters. What's important is if it is bud that you enjoy smoking.
Good luck with your grow.

OK so Mary is the tall one at 1 1/2 inches while Jan is only 1 1/4. That being said Jan has already begun to grow an new set of leaves.
I watered them both yesterday with 150ml of water at 6.5ph. Can anyone tell me how often I should water them? I'm guessing that every 3-4 days will be fine so long as the soil stays relativly moist.

So I transplanted the ladies into their permanent homes today. Gave them a nice drink, and doubled the lights as well. Each plant now has 6 23w cfl daylights. Jan (pictured) is working on her 3rd and 4th nodes while Mary is holding up only 3. I'm happy to get the room totaly set up. Now its only a mater time

The soil was getting pretty dry today with the extra lights so I gave the little ladies some water. Now that they are in the new larger 5 gal. buckets I gave them a lot more water... 500ml. Also they seemed kind of bored in there so I gave them a small radio and some beats to flurish too. They seem to be really enjoying "new mother nature" by the guess who most.

I'm pretty sure my plants prefer classical. Either that or Devo.

Its always nice to be able to get away for a couple of days. Before I left for Christmas I made sure to give the ladies a nice big drink. Its been four days since I saw them and I cant believe the growth. They look like they have tripled in size. I was just hoping that they wouldnt be dead. I gave them their first bit of big grow opon my return. I only put in one tsp per gal because I was thinking that it might have been a little early. Anyway I hope everyone had a nice christmas, I did.

Today was a big day. The ladies have grown up better that I could have hoped. When this first started the plan was just to take some bag seeds veg them for a bit and then flower asap. Now that things have gone over so well the plan has expanded. Today four clones from each plant were taken. When the clones were first transplanted they looked pretty bad, its been only like 4 hours though and already the clones are getting stronger. I cant wait to flower one of them from each plant and find out once and for all if these ladies are in fact ladies.

Looking good; the one thing I would suggest is to move your lights AWAY from the clone dome. Leave them over the plants, and let the clones sit in dim weak light so they don't use moisture so fast. That will cause them to wilt.

One of the reason your clones are sagging so badly is sheer weight. Trim the fan leaves and they'll stand up straighter and have less chance for rot.

sweet thanks for the advice. I am really shooting from the hip on most of this stuff and just hoping for the best.

A good practice when clipping leaf tips is:
-Cut all leaf blades down to one inch long
-Mist with Wilt-Pruf
-Allow to fully dry before placing under humidity dome that has been misted on the inside with plain water
-Keep temps under the dome steady at all times.
If this means running a light 24/0, that's fine, although some growers report that clones 'strike' faster if given some dark each day. I am satisfied with my own results under 24/0 and it is the choice of the individual grower based on conditions.
This helps reduce risk of mold.

I too like 24 hour lighting for cuttings, but that's the only thing I use it for.
