So I recently thought I was going to get drug tested for work. I bought an at home test to see if I would pass. I smoke about 2-3x/week so I thought it would take at least a week to get out of my system but on day 2 I was clear. One of my friends smokes a lot more than me and she only takes a week to get clear. I think the books are lying about how long it takes. Will everyone post the times it takes them to get good pee for a scientific evaluation?

No the books aren't lying. The half-life of THC ranges from 0.8 days to 10 days. Many factors are involved in this from genetics, body fat percentage, metabolism, diet, physical activity, etc. Then you must figure smoking history (how much, quality, how often, etc). Some people can be clean in just a few days others who smoke many times daily may take 2 months to get clean. Consider yourself lucky. On the average though a daily smoker may take 20-30 days to get clean and a person who is completely clean and gets high one time can be clean in 5-7 days.

As FBR stated, it depends on the various factors for each individual.

takes a day for me to get clean. I think they say 30 days so the drug testing companies and manf of the drinks that 'clean out your system' can profit. but yeah, takes a day or two to get clean!

Its definitely different for everybody. It takes me 3 weeks when I'm smoking everyday.
For people that are curious they should pickup a batch of tesst strips and test themselves for curioustities sake.

I guess it depends on who you are. Don't believe that month gimmick either. I know a couple of guys that couldn't pass after 50 days. For me I'm not sure. I might smoke for a straight week and can pass in three weeks. I'll have a test coming up where I have smoke for a solid month. I'm on day 17 clean now still pissing hot, hoping to buy myself another week or two. It depends on who you are and how much you smoked. Sucks the good lord made a drug so great and so harmless that can be detected for so long. Makes me wanna switch to snorting coke or something.
