what ^. i was just having a discussion about myspace to r, who thinks its a bunch of shit.

i used to think the same thing...until i got a profile:D i wouldnt be able to keep up with my friends in other town/city/states if it wasnt for technology. its a really good way for people to network. there is nothing wrong with having a profile especially if you're 18+ (i guess some people trip about minors)

I had one and I deleted it...but, I have had people asking me "why did you delete it" all I could think to say was "I was stoned"..not the best answer. LOL

I think Facebook is MUCH better organized than Myspace- I get error messages constantly from Myspace that linger for days even- I've gotten one error message on Facebook, and it resolved itself almost immediately.

i have a myspace profile too. at first i thought whatever, but then my friend helped me set it up and have been on ever since. i like it cuz i contact people that i graduated with or family members. also, to me its like a way to express myself with all the different icons i can put on my page. some ppl don't understand it and automatically think its a horrible and evil thing. there was a case in my city about how a person on myspace contacted another person on myspace and was to meet in person. but they were meeting at 1:30am by a lake. who is stupid enough to do this? it turns out the person was robbed by who was supposed to be a girl. what a dumbass! this idiot was stupid enough to meet someone off the internet not only alone, but at night by a lake? hellooooo. and the newspaper jumped all over it saying it was myspace fault. no it wasnt!! it was the dumbass who actually thought he was gonna get some.

I dont like those kinds of sites. Myspace, facebook - all of them are of no use to me. If i want to keep in contact with someone i'll give em a bell or pay them a visit.

i'm pretty much a loner.... with the exception of a few people, i talk more here then to anyone... in person or over the net... you choose the company you keep, and it seems everyone i come across within a month or so crosses me somehow, which i rarely choose to forgive so they're gone....

short answer? i think it's stupid... and all the sites like it... don't really understand the whole staying in touch thing about it... because everyone i've seen use it has some friends in another state... but neihter of them really talk... it's like a hey what's up and a few sentences here and there and other then that, neither would know the other existed even....

what is the point of keeping in contact when maybe once a month you throw a few lines at 'em? it's not like they're still really good friends and always talking and hanging out, or even keeping each other up-to-date with the going-ons in their life....

seems like one big popularity contest to me... to see who has the most friends on their friends list... of which they talk to all of 3% on anything even resembling a regular basis.

I use myspace, but not that much.
@trainwreck530: you're damn pretty, but married

I've got also a Last.fm profile, use it more than myspace.
