Weed that tastes/smells like fabric softner sheets?

I noticed a perfumey smell/flavor on some bud and when I asked a friend they said that sometimes product is wrapped in scented fabric softner sheets to mask the odor when being stored/transported. Is this true? If so, I assume the dryer sheets do not actually touch the herb? Could the smell just be from the outside of the bag being around the sheets and I just think I'm tasting it? Or should I not smoke it? My husband says he can't smell/taste it but I definitely can.

yeah, its a popular way to mask the odor of larger quantities and if the person who bagged it up knew anything about weed at all [which he probably did, seeing as how he took the time to use the sheets] he would have put in a bag then the dryer sheets in another bag surrounding the weed. However plastic is semi-permeable so if it was stored like that for a long time the weed might pick up the scent, i wouldnt be to worried about it though.

I had that too when I was in High school....My freind told me it was from when it was flown in.....it was packaged with downy.

I've seen quite a bit of that kind of smelly weed.... I never could get used to the taste =/

If it tastes and smells that bad, do the water cure. It can take 24-48 hours to do, but is well worth it to get that nasty taste out of it.

Makes me glad my weed is grown in the area i live. I wouldnt even concidering smoking weed if it tasted like that. It'd completely ruin everything about it.

Ahhh...The "Bounce Bud" lol,

Yes you are right,its Bounce Dryer Sheets wrapped inbetween the layers of Saranwrap used to get a lot of Mexi across the border...an old "La Familia" smuggeling trick!! I have a "Bit" of experince in this area...I had a Saturn SL-1 that the trunk smelled like Bounce!! Bought it in AZ if that says anything!!
