It just dawned on me, We've been forced into using guns more and more.
Just think, Once upon a time, two guys broke out in a fist fight, They tumbled around and when one was clearly losing, we'd pull the winner off and stop the fight.
Today, Two guys break out into a fist fight, in 45 sec to 1.5 mins a cop shows up and arrests them both. Now both are losers. So how do you win then??
The answer is very simple, speed! You have to put the other guy out in 45 sec and be out. That really only leaves one solution, Guns!
My point being, we've restricted ourselves into a more violent action. Sure, some just won't do either. But we are just human, Rage and anger are part of our humanity.
Factor in war, we can kill people if we have good reason. What message are we sending to our young?? Confusion?

I wonder if any one else has pondered how many laws we can stack one atop another before the pile tips over??
I've always thought that a good country should be like a good parent, As you age, you should gain more freedom not less.
Any thoughts??

Dang! Where exactly do you live?

When I was in High School in Tonga,we lived in Dorms.....and if two guys were having problems,The head guy would make them fight till they didnt wanna fight anymore.
It weirded me out to see that, but I guess it is better than grabbing freinds or weapons.

I don't know Zcomp, I think that you are simplifying a problem that is much more complicated. Environment, stress, peer pressure, media, bullies, etc. are just a few factors. A gun never made anyone smarter, better looking, a better human being but guns are power, not ever a good thing to achieve power with, but none the less power.:(

Are you insinuating that we've become more violent as a society? Oh please...

Guns were invented to enable us to kill each other more effectively, it means even someone who can't fight can beat the best fighter.
It isn't guns that are the problem it's the retards who have them , when any pleb can access weapons it's asking for trouble.

No I'm pointing out that a gun takes less time/input to injure/kill.
I live in a metro, cops are always close by. In fact, I've lived in several metro's that had very quick PD's. I've had fistfights broken up by cops on several occasions. Its one of the reasons I choose to abstain from violence. Arrests on your record destroy your life. They define you in several peoples eyes including, employer's, rental agency's and courts.
I've been to a jail where fights were sanctioned, I enjoyed that very much. Releasing your aggression is a necessary step in life. I know some will say that there are more constructive ways to release your aggression.
I hear wickerbill on the other issues that affect gun use. I just see lots of people(on the news and such) being pushed to the brink and breaking out the semi's. I just wonder if those people think about beating the piss out of someone but decide they don't need the treble damages involved. Instead they hold it in until they give up completely and just try to end it all.
