You've all heard about the recent shootings in Colorado ..
What I want to know, is why the whole world is SOOO SHOCKED and APPALLED at this, a few murders..And its front page news worldwide... But in the ghettos around the world and in America, people get shot daily! And noone really gives a fuck.
Sorry, I'm from New Zealand so I don't know much about Colorado, but I'm guessing it's not a poor area? I just did a quick google search and found that a 2000 census showed 82.8% of people living there are white; and they are more wealthy than the average American...
Does anyone else see something here?
:what:
(I got the census info from these links:)

It all has to do with liberal TV news ratings.

i would guess that gang warfare is too common in the united states and if the media were to cover every gang shooting then all news would be about was gang shootings. however, someone shooting up a church is uncommon and more interesting then everyday gang violence.

Church-Shooting- Assault Rifle-Ammo Belt- 2 Pistols. Things that interest people and why they watch the news
And because there was 1 security guard on duty who save at least 100-200 peoples lives, it was a super church with thousands of people in it and 1 security guard, but she managed to kill him before more then 2 people were killed. Thats pretty sweet.

It was murder against Christians inspired by hate. The man lost his control and shot any Christian in his path. I don't believe he made the right decision by killing, but he is onto something big.
I fear this is the beginning of a Christian eradication. Religion is falling in the United States.

But not fast enough if you ask me...

Wow, that's quite a bit of vitriol. You don't sound very tolerant. (Granted, you may not claim to be tolerant, I don't know.)

But not fast enough if you ask me... If it doesn't happen fast enough, we probably won't live to see it.

If you sense that I'm being critical of the issue, your right. Our times of today are crucial because these ideological conflicts are escalating, especially when exposed to the forbidden truth, which we are constantly gaining. The followers of faith don't deserve to take the consequences from their corporate conductors, this is what has just happened. This man attacked the wrong people with the wrong method. Threatening murder and hate against people inspires fear, but offering peace and wisdom persuades to hope. Nobody wishes to repeat history, and as long as we do, I would be concerned about this.
Understand that people have been taught to fight each other. It is a BIG mistake on our part, yet, it is our obligation to fix it.

Naught only are we taught to fight, but it's instinct. Competition is one of the most primal instincts animals have, competition usually leads to aggression in some form or another.
Those students at Penn State University who dressed up as Virginia Tech students who were killed, have the same viewpoint as you, L Rag. What makes a mass killing in the U.S. any more significant than a mass killing in Africa? We all know the killing in the U.S. is of no more significant than a killing anywhere else in the world. But the million dollar question is, what causes people to perceive otherwise?
Americans as a whole, In my opinion, are spoiled to the bone. We are censored from everything. Actual killing and violence, drugs, poverty. Sure there's plenty of poverty in the United States, but the majority of Americans are taught either to ignore it, or simply don't know about it. We are a nation of very soft people who wouldn't know the first thing to do if we were ever full-blown attacked on our soil. What happens when our infrastructire and all of our reliance on oil, electricity, currency, break down? The United States is going to be a complete mess, and a scary place to live.
Too many people have lost the true meaning of life, in my opinion. In my opinion, the true meaning of life, is to simply survive long enough to reproduce. It's when we start indulging in certain things that we take a turn away from our true being. You don't see animals indulging in the things we do, or anything for that matter. Everything they do, has a purpose and a goal, and is purposeful to their survival. They take what they need and nothing more. We take what we need, and then some.
As for the institution of religion breaking down, I don't think the people behind the scenes will let that happen. Religion is the most prominent and efficient way to get a person, or masses of people, to do what you want, to act the way you want them to, to keep them from doing something or even keep them saying something. How do you think George W. Bush was elected president? He realized the majority of the country is religious, so he portrayed himself as the candidate that everyone could associate themselves with, a New-born Christian.
Religion is in everything. It's alarming, they teach us in school that we have Separation of Church and state, when it is quite obvious there is very little separation. We have "In God we Trust" imprinted on all of our currency for fuck sake.

I completely agree with your comment on how spoiled most of America's population is. Just look at their movies, MTV, TV programs etc. Everything is so ... Meaningless these days. Every time you switch on the TV there will be some reality TV show with obnoxious ignorant pricks as the heroes... TV constantly hammering the idea that money, being popular and cool, and having rich friends is the key to a fulfilling life. In TV, their huge problems are how to get enough money to hire a DJ for the party, or 'omgosh that bitchy skank is totally flirting with MY boy'...
And the worst part is they follow this bullshit religiously! They actually care about these fake people on TV and their pathetic problems. That's why half the world is so ignorant about world issues, because they can never be bothered looking outside their own backyard. IMO, it all arises from selfishness - "why should we care whats going on around the world, it doesn't affect us!"
*Sorry to all the Americans on here that aren't how I described so many of them to be; I know most of you on here are a lot more open minded than the average American :)
