When I was younger I was anti-weed. Not like protesting it but if anyone asked or if I knew someone who did it, i'd think they were stupid and killing themselves cause of what the media would feed kids. I feel stupid for it now. <3 mary jane

I was against smoking of all kinds, not because of any real social stigmas attached to it, because i really wasn't aware of mj in highschool, but purely beacuse i was a vocalist, and as a vocalist i just didn't involve myself with smoking

then i went to college, heh.

i never was.. i guess i always had an open mind about it.. i mean in 6th grade i was drawing mushrooms for one of my art projects... and i think thats the hardest i have laughed to this day.... it was an hour straight of laughing till we cried... that same year was also the first time i tried it... when i was that age, around here, noone really said anything about it.. we just knew the name thats about all. before i learned about all the propoganda, i had already tried it and liked it.. so the damage was done.

ya its funny I kind of was...well i just thought it was bad just cause they tried to brainwash me...so i never would have tried it on my own but luckily one of my friends asked me to. and even though I thought it was bad before i knew i shouldn't come to a conclusion before i tried it myself

I didn't really know anything about it honestly, i had just heard that drugs were bad. When someone offered me it the first time, i said no. I researched it before i tried it and now i embrace it.

I was totally neutral when I smoked my first joint with my girlfriend, in a field, across the street from the house that I grew up in. The three times (in high school) that I smoked didn't seem to impress me much, as I kept on drinking and partying.

It was forced to show it's greatness during my first semester at college, as I made the dean's list with cannabis being my main intoxicant. I transferred and went back to the drinking and partying. Pot wasn't my drug of choice, or, at least, it wasn't my social network's drug-of-choice.

That all changed when a car-accident put me into a coma.

dude I won a D.A.R.E. award for my whole county. I had this midget brothers cartoon that I used to draw in fifth grade, I went hard out for it and made a ten page episode in color for it. The medal is still in my closet back home.

I don't ever remember being anti-weed. I just didn't do it in high school until i was about 15-16 when the people i was hanging around with started doing it. They offered me some and the rest is history!

I LOVE CANNABIS!!! :-)

Yea, I was always anti-weed before I tried. I had this kind of superioristic attitude towards people that did it, though. Like, I always thought they were stupid, soon-to-be dropouts with no future. So, the day that I was offered to try it, I just convinced myself that I have a stronger will than burned out stoners and I can just try it and not like it so much that I keep doing it.

And thank God I tried it. Now I can't imagine a life without a little cannabis. Down with all those anti-drug campaigns that poisoned my mind! They tried to keep something that I love away from me!

i was really indifferent toward it before i tried it. It never really played a part in my life in the early years. if anything i was always somewhat intregued by the mysterious herb.

Similar experience to myself here. I was in High School aged about 15 or 16? when I tried my first joint. Like Beachguy said it seemed to fail to impress me, since I was far more interested in drinking. I gave it a few more tries and even hit a bong but it just did nothing for me.

Then when I went to 6th form (College equivalent) and tried it again I abso-fucking-lutely loved it. I was at a massive party for a friends birthday, the majority were drinking but a few had weed with them. Anyway we went into this big field and hid by some trees, we did massive pipe hits and I loved it.

I think I was anti-drugs before about 11 or so mainly cos i thought they would just kill you and I didn't know how fun they were lol. 11 was first time I had my taste of alcohol and wasn't so bothered, bout 2 years later I experimented a lot with alcohol. At about 13-14 my bro told me he smoked weed which I was ok with cos he was older than me and I really didn't have much of an opinion on weed cos I didn't know much about it. I was offered it at 13 by a mate in the year above but declined (gd job I did it was shitty soap bar, packed with like 70% tobacco). Then my other friend tried it and told me how it felt and I haddddd to try it :D and he had a good connection too so it was worth it and the rest is history :rastasmoke:

it never really got into my everyday vocabulary so i didnt get a chance to have my own opinion on it. yeah i heard about it here and there, but it never really struck a nerve for me. I started after high school under unfortunate circumstances but it did change my life for the better though. I loved it. I still remember my first two times like it was yesterday. :)
the funniest thing was my highschool, on a regular school day had a scheduled cafeteria prestention prepared for us one day and didnt want to tell us what it was about. so basically it would go two grades at a time. the 9's and 10's together then the 11's and 12's.
we went down not knowing what it was a about. a police officer walks onto stage introduces himself and popped on a 15 minute slideshow . about what? you guessed it. GROW OPS and how to spot them. Infrared lighting seen above from choppers. unkept front lawns, the whole shebang. The guys in our grade (who, with the knowledge i have now, i'm going to assume probably smoked) laughed at each slide as it came to the screen.
I didnt think about it then but they were turning us into little snitches. I can't believe they would go out of our ways to get HIGHSCHOOL students who don't have their own heads on straight, much less their own educated opinion of many things in the world mostly because of lack of life experience and age, to get us to snitch on grow ops like that. Had I started smoking in highschool i woulld have had a stronger opinion on it and would have probably been more angry about it. But wow, now that i think about it what a bunch of fucking manipulators.

been smoking since fourth grade...got my older sis high for her first time.

the only time i was really 'anti-weed' was at the height of my youth drinking days when i was 17. i was a careful closet smoker for some reason. i would always call people 'stoner' or say 'hey man dont space out on me' i denied ever smoking in the first place. this bs was fueled by high maintenance girls...of course once i ran through as many as i got to i went back to my natural ways...%100 stonehenge!

even though im an everday smoker, i work 2 jobs, powerlift, hike and try to do anything i can fit in my time.

Always have been curious about it. Never been anti-weed. Ever since I was a young boy I liked those old movies about woodstock and the hippie period. Also the music. I just love that peacefull culture that weed was involved to.

I was against it because of all the shit pounded in my head. One day I became intrigued because most of the musicians I listened to were influenced by marijuana and a lot of the culture I was interested in dealt with marijuana so I asked a buddy who I knew smoked if he wanted to and I fell in love.

I smoked first when I was a young teen, when I was 18 I actually quit toking for 8 years. I didn't really drink/drunk much for a few years as well. I think when I quit it was mostly because of the scene around people i knew who smoked. Many did other drugs I would never try or just became someone I did not want to be around and I didn't want to chill with those people. I guess I was somewhat anti weed during this time.
When I was in my early 20's I started smoking again. After learning a lot more I didn't think it was a bad thing to do a little or a lot of. The media/DARE had a lot to do with why I wanted to try and why I was scared of cannabis at the time.

I kinda was kind of anti-weed for a while when I was younger, there were some older kids in the neighborhood who openly admitted they smoked pot. They kinda were they bullys of the neighborhood and acted like real assholes most of the time. I just assumed it was because they were high all the time, and thats how it made you act. Then the summer before 7th grade came, and while at a freinds house we accidentally came across his moms stash. We were curious naturally, and we stole some and took it down to a hangout spot we had under a bridge, we got really high, and had some good laughs and a hilarious time riding our bikes afterwards... since then my opinion on MJ has been much different and I figured those other kids were just assholes regardless:jointsmile:

during D.A.R.E. i just didnt pay attention really, didnt care cuz i somehow kinda figured it was a bunch of bullshit idk
i found some of my dads in 8th grade and tried it but didnt get high cuz it was a one hitter of like stems lol i didnt know
then around the summer after freshman year my brother kept askin if i wanted any, not pressuring me or nothin and i was shocked cuz i remembered him tellin me hed kill me if he found out i did it
so i had mixed feelings about it & then one time he asked me and right away i said yes

it was around that time i stopped fuckin with peoples property :D

heh...up until my junior year of high school i was totally anti-drug...and then junior year i did a persuasive speech to legalize it and i even put some oregano or something in a bag and brought it in as a visual-I held it up and said something along the lines of "this is what weed might look like" lol and then i did it senior year and realized oregano looks nothing like weed :smokin:

I was totally anti-weed growing up, cause 1: I was raised Christian, and 2: I was raised Christian.

Then around 7th grade summer, my best friend found his dads stash, and we tried to smoke it. I can help but laugh while typing this cause the way we tried to smoke these popcorn sized nugs (maybe 3 of them) was completely horrible. First we took the paper that come around pieces of gum (the white paper) and just put like 3 nugs on it and wrapped it around. Believe me, we did NOT get high, ahha, we both just sat down, looked at each other, and said, "did we do it right?.... Ya, I think so...... weed is bullshit".

I later tried it with a good friend, and just stared at my buddies mirror for a little while, and then laugh a bunch, i was SUCH a tool i bet.

At an early age, I didn't really care too much about drugs or alcohol. My older brother got in trouble for possession when I was young, and I remember thinking that whatever he was doing must have been good if it was illegal. So a few years later I smoked with my older brother and now I've got better contacts than he does.

A lot of people were "anti-weed" before trying, because were simply trained to be.

I was never really "anti-weed", now that I think of it, it never really came across my mind all that much.

You don't need to feel stupid for it, you were young. You didn't know any better. And they love to take advantage of that. The mind of a child is VERY impressionable.

Way way back I told myself I wasn't gonna drink or anything at all. BUt everntually highschool came around and I started drinking a bit. At this time I thought smoking was for low lifes (thanks to my dad ). So for the most of highschool I avoided it even though I planned on trying it at some point. Finally in my last year of highschool, my good friend told me how awesome it was so I finally tried it.

Yeah, I rarely drink now.

in school all they did was hammer in drugs are bad, your killing yourself, druugs are bad youre going to get addicted. it wasnt until 8th grade did i ask questions about what weed and drugs were (mostly from rap music, i got confused on how rappers could write such intricate lyrics and smoke weed, because school taught me weed makes you retarted) then i did some research on my own and found that weed really actually isnt as bad as they make it in school

I was just ignorant and uneducated of the truth about marijuana because of all the lies and propaganda, like most people are before they actually try it. It's funny how all the drug laws are made by people who seem to have no personal experience with any of the substances that are illegal. :wtf: I really wish the people in the government responsible for these nonsensical laws would just let people live their lives as long as they're not hurting anyone. :hippy: Sorry for ranting, but to me life is all about personal freedom and doing what makes you happy. The first time I was offered (at 15) I was too scared to try it b/c of all the anti drug propaganda and b/c the only friend I had who smoked did some pretty crazy things and I thought that I would not be in control of my body if I got high, lol. A couple years later I was with some trusted friends & I decided I would give it a try - unfortunately I didn't feel any effects and I wondered what the big deal was. I tried it a few times after that without ever really getting high and I spent most of my college years drinking and waking up with hangovers on the weekends. I didn't start smoking on a regular basis until I was 22 and now I rarely drink and feel much better.
