How often to use nutes and to flush?

1st time grower and I was wondering how often you should water with nutes if i'm using shultz plant food plus 10-15-10? should i water with the the shultz mixed with the water and water it that way and then how often should I flush the soil and does it take just one time of watering with distilled water to flush out the soil or should I water several times with distilled water to flush it out? also with watering with nutes should I use them every time I water ?
