Hello, today I went to 'wally-world' and I saw a two-pack of GE 26 watt 6500K 1,600 lumens CFLs for like $7.50 and over there in h depot they have one n:vision 27 watt 5500k 1,300 lumens for the same price, what's going on? Is n:vision better? Wich is better for growing if any? Why such a big price difference? Thanks.

wally world has got 41 watts for 8 bux a pop they seem to work just fine :) i don't think nvision is gonna be any better because first of all none of them are truly made just to grow plants.. and well there isn't much of a difference in bulbs.. but i cant say that i'm for sure.. i'm just guessing right now..

i like the n:visions because they state the k rating, and also they seem to be much cooler then the GE's. I use the GE's to adjust my cab temp.

h depot always seemed overpriced in general to me. wally has the china hookup so prices are low! lol

Most of the GEs I've seen and all that I have stated the kelvin...

Those are different bulbs, 26watt=27watt=different, 1600lumens=1300lumens=different, and 5500k=6500k=different. Comparing apples and orangesssss. Although they aren't really THAT different. They obviously are.

And every bulb package I have ever seen contains the Kelvin rating, it might just take you looking at the package a little harder then only looking at the name of the product.

I could be wrong, so look it up, but 6500k and 5500k is for veg, and the lower kelvin rating is for flower.

To answer which one is better, GE's are said to run hotter, but CFLs are CFLs. Buy some, they are cheap and be happy. HAPPY!!!!!!
