I watched Knocked Up for the first time last weekend (while enjoying the gifts of the earth) and i think i may have discovered something.
I think that it was writen and mad so that it can be a tool of the Right Wing Christian Pro-Life groups, to brainwash kids, teenagers, and adults alike into thinking that having the baby, and getting married is the only solution if you get pregnant on a one night stand.
What are all of your views on this?
Please, talk amongst yourselves.

marketing mangers have yet to cotton on to the fact people dont really give 2 shits about what the media tells them to do and that we all have minds of our own.

actully the media and advertisment greatly effects the way people think and more importantly what we buy. It's not something that you think about but it does happen when you watch TV or listen to the radio or anything the media effects the way people think.

I think it was trying to say the more weed you smoke, the better your chance of getting into Katherine Hiegle's (sp?) pants....That sort of rhymed. Cool.

Ok,
Being a stoner has nothing to do with it. I think that the movie did not portray all of the options that are availible to a pregnant woman. When they finally found out, it was like there was no other option than to have the baby. No abortion, no adoption, etc. the only thing was to keep the baby.
Now im not saying that abortion should be used as a form of birth control, but the option needs to be out there, and this movie with these really popular actors says that you have to keep the baby because it is the right thing to do, and that most mariges in america are based on this philosopy these days, is just rediculus.
Watch it again when you are stoned, and you will be able to catch on to it.
Have a good night all, and anyone who wants to come to my birthday party tonite is more than welcome.
Goodnight.

Actually, they portrayed him as a complete retard. What's more right wing than the belief of Stoner=Retard.
Anyway, I thought that was one of the most boring, lame, and pointless movies I've ever watched. There's no "conspiracy" at play though, it's just the personal view of the writer. Any which way he handled the situation could have been called a conspiracy in favor of that approach.

no, i dont buy into that. at all. i take everything that i see and experience through those mediums with a pinch of salt.
i may not be talking about everyone out there, but i know i am definately talking about myself.
reality is nothing but a perception, why should i buy into the one i am shown by someone else
