Anybody unfortunate enough to be round Huddersfield on Wednesday the 5th of December?
The day started as a normal day. At my lunch break, me and many of my bag'ed friends proceeded over to greenhead park as we do every lunch, break and free period (our theory is, its not called GREENhead park for nothing;)) for the normal chillaxin, jugglin, eatin, spliff etc. I went in at approximately 1:30 for a lesson, came out at 2:30 only to see that the normal group of about 10 - 40 bag'eds that are normally in the park were nowhere to be seen. So thinking nothing of it, I walked down to the bus station. On the short 5 minute walk towards the centre of town, I saw 3 different sets of police walking round. On arriving in the bus station I was warned by some non bag'ed friends to "run, there's sniffer dogs and police everywhere." They'd already seen 3 different people in the bus station get yapped at by sniffer dogs (then searched etc.) I promptly got on the next bus out of there.
Today, I got the full story from friends. Apparently, no less than 20 (some say up to 40) police officers had walked into greenhead park with several sniffer dogs. A lot of my mates legged it, a couple didn't have time. One got a 10bag (1.7g) confiscated and a caution. One lass shoved an eighth down her bra when confronted by police and got away with it. Another mate got stopped later in town, stopped and searched. They found rolling machine, bacci and king skins on him. He said immediately it's all for smoking tobacco and since he didnâ??t even have grinder or baggies on him (which is unusual for this character) they couldn't do anything.
I had my "box" on me which has rolling papers, literally a hundred or so used baggies, my expensive stainless steel pollen grinder (cost £23!!) and a couple of spliffs worth of pollen in it. Not loads, but I'm presuming, if caught I would have got most of it confiscated (which would emotionally destroy me; my grinder is probably my most prized possession.)
We got chance to speak to the park warden today and asked him what happened yesterday because loadsa feds came up. He instantly replied "well they wonâ??t have been looking for spliffs." When we gave him the details, he said he couldn't believe it, because in his reports that he has to write for police, he said that we caused no problems, we were friendly, always tidied up after ourselves and others.
Pisses me off. As the park warden's report says, we're a friendly group of people, we're kind, sociable, tidy up after ourselves and others, cause no problems, and this is what they do?! If we were loud, rowdy, disturbing the peace, leaving needles lying round, graffin everywhere then Iâ??d understand, but we're not:(
Just needed to reach targets, make up the numbers I suspect. Sad though still.
