I have been getting somewhat better, but hardly. I can get it all even make the roach and whatnot, and even start the rolling. Where i hit trouble is about half way through my roll.

I got the part by my rolling hand all nice and tight, then the part on the left side starts to crease and fuck up. I try to keep it straight by trying to press it in, but no luck.

I've read the guide several times over, and no luck. Should i use a bigger roach? Is there something I'm missing? Am i a complete retard?

It breaks my heart reading and hearing abut how people can't roll joints.. I never had a problem rolling and the first time I tried it I got the hang of it, maybe because I watched my parents do it like every day and also watching my friends do it, but yeah I never had a single problem with rolling..

Start by rolling skinnier joints with less weed so it's easier to get the hang of all the motions. Makes sure the mix is evenly spread in the paper and start from the middle, start rolling back and forth forming the round joint shape with your mix, and slowly move your way outwards to the left and right sides doing the same thing until it's packed enough, now roll the bottom part down to where the weed is, and tuck that piece of paper behind your mix, make sure you move from the middle outwards again while tucking the paper and then when the paper is tucked behind your mix and you got a partially rolled joint just roll the half rolled joint up the rest of the way until it's up the sticky part, then just lick and with your finger press the sticky part down onto the joint so it holds. The only way I could better describe this is if I made a guide with pictures but I don't have a digital camera, sorry my friend.

The basics of Joint-rolling. (http://www.weedfarmer.com/joint_rolling/rolling/rolling.htm)

That site has a couple pictures to show you exactly what I mean and what I'm talking about, and you will probably understand me and get the hang of it soon.. Just keep trying buddy practice makes perfect. Good luck and have fun!

You could try to make the joint more conical than cylindrical, that way the paper opposite from the roach shouldn't wrinkle or crease. If you twist the end opposite the roach after you're done rolling, it won't matter too much how loosely packed the herb is in the cone section because you're basically removing the excess paper when it's lit. It's a little more forgiving to start the rolling process with a cone in mind, I think. You just work from one end to the other and it doesn't matter if the end opposite the roach isn't doing the same thing as the end around the roach, because that's not how you make a cone anyway.

Somewhere between large "chunks" and "sand," chopping it up with scissors is fine. Search for "joint rolling" on your favorite video site. You'll probably want to experiment a little to find your perfect consistency anyway.

Any of these show the herb consistency going in... joint rolling - Google Video (http://video.google.com/videosearch?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=joint+rolling&oe=UTF-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wv&oi=property_suggestions&resnum=0&ct=property-revision&cd=1)

That guide is a part from a joint rolling handbook which taught me how to roll, I would read the part on rolling a normal joint again and again until I tried it one time and it turned out perfect. If this guide doesn't help you, then you are either helpless or have sausage fingers or something, because if I could learn to roll perfect joints from this e-book at the age of 12 yeas old, nothing should be stopping you from rolling a fine/perfect joint..

here a link to the .pdf of the whole book with everything from cannabis history to info on its legal status, health info to picture guides of rolling every kind of joint known to man.

Practice. Buy a grinder. Use a pencil or other such pokey device to pack your joints. I've tried to teach people to roll joints and cigs my way with no luck. Just practice and find your own technique that works. It's your own style really, so discover it yourself. But if you want a tip, try rolling nice even cylindrical joints in the beginning, and then move on to conical shapes.

I've read every joint rolling website I can and I still can't roll a good joint. Everytime I attempt to roll it always turns out really loose.

Take some dried parsley or some finely chopped tobacco (consistency of weed is what you want) and just practice with cheap papers. The single hardest part of most people's rolling is getting the edge of the paper tucked in so it actually rolls. You just have to do it over and over until you find a way to get it to work for you. It's a learned behavior :p

Remember that you start by putting the stuff in the paper and holding the paper shut and actually sliding it back and forth to roll the stuff into a cylindrical shape. You can never do this too much, do it for a good minute at first (you'll get better). Pinch the paper close to the stuff so that it forms a nice tight shape. It'll keep the shape if you did it right (you can open the paper and set it flat and still ahve a cylindrical mass of weed at the center). If you can get the stuff to keep its shape, rolling the paper around it becomes easy business
